2011 is a statistical outlier because of NFC's 69-0 win.

Good point.  Interestingly, though, even if they had won 40-0, the average still would have been 26.   Prior to 2000, it was not common for a state title game to be decided by 35 or more points.  Since the change to 6 classes in 1999 and beyond, it is becoming increasingly more common.  The past 2 seasons have been pretty competitive, but for much of this decade it seems half of the title games each year are blowouts.  There were 4 title games in 2015 decided by 35 or more points.  That is more than all of the state title games between 1980-1999.  Makes me wonder if that is one reason why some folks are not as eager to travel to the championships each year.

Not eager because it is damn expensive to watch a high school game. $15 or 20 if you buy at the gate, and another $10+ for parking. Family of 4 nearly $100 plus gas plus food plus potentially rooms if you stay the night...

I wish this state would stop using Brighthouse for state championships

That stupid station only available in central Florida, we north Florida guys would want to actually watch the bloody game but we can't get it unless we want to watch on a computer

They need to get a statewide network for broadcasting instead of a network only offered in a short window between Tampa and Orlando
