At least somebody gives IMG credit for something. In my eyes they are still a Florida team just as much as STA and Bolles that recruit from everywhere. I can't understand people who are just hoping and waiting for IMG to lose, especially to some California all star team. I myself would like to see IMG continue to run the deck and remain undefeated. These young men have to practice all week, get on a plane for a 6 hour flight, and play in front of thousands of screaming opposing fans in their stadium. They do this for almost every game of the season as they play very few games at home. I challenge any other team in Florida to manage that without having a losing season if not losing almost every game.

Who’s rooting for MD?  Not me. Cali thinks they’re the best thing since sliced bread. That being said I disagree with you on the first statement.   Can’t compare IMG to these other private schools, it’s just not the same.   The DC schools are probably the closest to IMG tho.  That QB today was from Hawaii lol.

We’re talking about real Fl teams. I won’t consider IMG a Fl team until their roster is at least 80% from Fl.

Then I guess the Gators, Seminoles and Hurricanes are not real FL teams either.  More than 25% of their rosters are from outside the state.  Am teasing, but seriously, if people can cheer for a pro team, none of whose players have any connection to the city or maybe even the state in which the team resides, why not high school?  The whole concept of "local" teams is dying on many fronts.  It's sad, but I don't think there is any turning back.

Man the Gators...soft as butter right now.   Sucks because we've wasted some great defenses.   Even if our offense improves (which I think it's happening) it's a bit late.

Like I said, I'll root for IMG over most other OOS powers, but it's more because I want it to be a FL team to beat them!   I hear people saying, "well they represent Fl", but they really don't.   Watch the end of a highlight film, these kids represent their hometowns.   The last kid Undertheradar interviews always throws in "West coast the best coast".   I can't root for them over another FL team!

Yeah and this is what makes HS football special.   Teams may get transfers but most all of them still represent a local area.    IMG is just different.
