These are programs which were arguably the most consistent of the 1990's...making the playoffs and winning playoff games.  Tried to pick 11 teams for each area of the state.  What strikes you compared to the top teams of today?

The one's I'm familiar with had veteran coaching staffs that at their respective programs for a long time.  Observe the number of programs from small towns.

I was telling a friend of mine that the reason Glades Central was good in the 1990s there wasn't a lot of transfer no Facebook or Twitter most importantly there was no new High Schools being bulit at the time. A lot of talent stay in Glades Central now times definitely changed new High Schools are built families moving from the Muck etc etc

I'm excited for the younger fellows on the board because who knows what teams will be in the polls in 20-25 years.  I'm only pretty certain of one thing....there will be some teams that aren't there now.

Orange County was not on the map back then and look now.  Neither were all of the current Broward County powerhouses.  As Hwy17 points out, look how certain teams in rural area have fallen off the radar.

I believe coaching will become more important in years to come.  Everyone will have relatively good talent, but I think programs with seasoned coaches who have been there for a while are going to become more rare and will be rewarded with an edge over their foes.

I don't see how things can continue on their present pace, ie transfers and coaching changes, in south FL without some ill effects...that will make it difficult for programs to sustain excellence and consistently make deep playoff runs.
