Way Too Early 2019 Forecast

Recommended Posts

Using the past 20 seasons of data, here is a mathematical projection of the 2019 season. It should be noted, this data is based on past performance and does not take coaching changes, returning players, etc. into consideration. And though entertaining,  I would certainly not take it to the bank. After all, you wouldn't play the stock market based entirely on historic data.

The first analysis is Classification Strength. This ranking is a weighted moving average combining team power rankings and median power rankings for each classification. It lists the Top 4 teams in each class. The second analysis measures "parity" within each classification using Std. Deviation as the guideline.

In terms of parity, the smaller the number the less differentiation between the teams. In other words, we would expect these districts to be much more wide open (if historic numbers came through). Am I reading that right? Good information as always. Why the FHSAA doesn't just pay you to the rankings is beyond me.

Thanks. And you are correct. The lower the number, the more evenly matched the teams are. As far as the FHSAA is concerned, I would be more than willing to provide them rankings, for football or any other sport for that matter. My system works extremely well for games like basketball and baseball because of the amount of games that are played each season. More data = More Accuracy.

Anyway, I guess they know how to find me if the need ever arises.

Yes, that is the best way to play the market. But you have to breakdown the data into different historical periods and assign weights to the data, with the most recent being the strongest in determining short to intermediate term price performance in the security or average you are trading.

    • Trinity Catholic Also got Big time offensive lineman Miller Lewis in for next season via transfer from vanguard. Kid is massive with his share of Big D1 offers as well. Andrew Thomas is building up the foundation over there and should have the Celtics back up at an elite level very soon
    • On paper, Booker T may have more top-tier talent than anyone in this region.  BTW will be loaded on defense this year.  On the D-line they've got 5-star Donell Harris, 3-star Wati Huggins, and 3-star Tramel Logan.  Then there is 3-star CB Corey Thornton.  Add to that 3-star RB Shemar Paul on offense.
    • Region 4 should easily be the most competitive region in Class 4A.  7 returning playoffs teams from last season will be in Region 4 this year(teams with double asterisks).  5 of them were in Region 4 last year(italicized below), including defending region champion University School.  5A state champion Cardinal Gibbons moves down in class along with 6A power Carol City.  4A Region 4 finalist Glades Central moves over to Region 3.  Team records from last season are listed below. Carol City and Booker T have met 11 times over the past 15 years, and BTW has dominated the series, winning 9 times.  Carol City has won the past two meetings, though.     **Cardinal Gibbons 13-2 **University School 11-2 **Coral Springs Charter 7-2 **Carol City 9-3 **Gulliver Prep 8-4 **Booker T Washington 5-6 **Monsignor Pace 5-6 North Broward Prep 5-5 Pine Crest 4-6 LaSalle 2-8 Somerset Academy Silver Palms 2-8
    • Let's not forget that Carol City has not been the most consistent performer over the past 15 years.  They have had a number of losing seasons.  This year's team is not overloaded with talent on paper.  With Booker T and Cardinal Gibbons in Region 4, it's no lock that Carol City advances.  .
    • Ok where to start ...first things first WOW!!! 58-7!!! Jesus!! Secondly if Dillard can stay healthy and the kids keep their grades up to par && stay out of trouble Dillard will give every team on there schedule problems I mean serious problems!!! this team finally has a identity; their OC is no joke and this defense my god I’m sorry the black hole panther defense they was on Taravella ass like tissue all night lol they had about 9 to 10 take aways no exaggeration & their fast & disciplined. And most of all they didn’t let up. The entire coaching staff is revamped and their out for blood. I know this only spring and we didn’t play Mater dei but dammit this program has come a long way and from last year to this year shesshhh!! This team is a juggernaut in the making. Our Qb runs 4 deep & they all have legs & a arm. Our rbs are str8 dogs. And our  OL & DL has vastly improved & actually getting a legit push. Our offense finally has a no huddle. And our kicker & punter are both bad asses.  This is the most points Dillard has put up since winning 70-0 over pompano In 2012. And our biggest home scoring margin in over 12 years and our first spring game win in over 6 years.  @oldOLcoach @ColumbiaHighFan2017class @badbird @954gator @561_Fan @A-Town561 The roar is finally back.
