16 Interesting Games Next Week

But, to paraphrase the classic line from Blazing Saddles, "where all the white boys at?"     Seriously; I'm assuming both schools are integrated, right?  Do the white kids go to other schools?  Private instead of public?  Are there no white kids at either of these schools that play football?  Or do they just have to sit out the "Soul Bowl" game?   

OK, so maybe I am opening up a can of worms, but about half way through the highlights, it dawned upon me that I had not seen a white player on the field for either team.   Perhaps I've watched Remember the Titans one too many times, but I always felt athletics, and particularly football, provided kids of all races and socio-economic backgrounds the opportunity to get to know more about each other in ways that benefited everyone on and off the field.  Is this not happening any more?

Any thoughts?

Both schools are in very black neighborhoods. I suspect that white attendance at each is less than 5% by quite a bit. In the Orlando area, there are a few schools like that which I won't bother to list. When I moved here 29 years ago, only Jones, the sole surviving, historically black school, fell into that category. Like up north, where I lived for 7 years, many metro areas in Florida have become increasingly segregated in the past 25 years.

U basing band play off the one school y'all play?  Yeah ur a super homer lol. U should have a decent crowd this week but yall games don't put up the attendance the west games put up. Especially when we play central

Bruh fa one y’all home games are at a stadium if  soul bowl was still at Lockhart stadium if they didn’t tear it down this years soul bowl would like exactly how central & Miami northwestern game looked earlier this year you better ask somebody bout that Dillard & ely rilvarly. 
 

& no I’m not basing it off of 1 school we play you asked me when the last time I been to a dade game ..over the years we have been playing Miami central & carol city ..and I see the west at the BOTB Down here & Miami norland plus it’s 2019 so you got YouTube & I believe my ears still work. Lol haha
