One HS in Miami that for the longest time was pretty damn good but never got to a state title game I believe was Jackson. Northwestern in the 90s ended their season several times in the playoffs.

Madison County while having 2 state title 6yrs apart seemed like they were always playing for it all and coming up short so I believe they never truly got their due.

i don't know a whole lot of Miami schools and i understand what u mean about madision but they do also usally play in 3A and 4A so competition level is lower then say 6A or 7A they might be good but would not be as successful in 6A or 7A

Well now I believe they will be in 1A with the new format so we'll see how they do in that. Some I have talked to think they will dominate but I am not so fast to agree because there is some great football played in 1A that no one knows about!

When it comes to talent Madison will have the most talented players year in and year out in 1A as well as great coaching but as we all know Sometimes the less talented team wins if they can get a few breaks and take advantage of mistakes.  As for the question about teams not getting the media attention i think most 1A team would qualify in that description except for there local media.

Looking forward to the challenge GO TIGERS FNB!!!!!!!!

i know the 1A has some good teams however im saying the competition level is not that high which is why when they play a school in 6A or 7A the school in higher classification would sucedde

il give u an example: this past season suwannee a good school in the 5A started 9-0 then they played Columbia and Columbia beat them 42-14 then suwannee goes to 4th round of playoffs before falling to Godby

    • It’s not hating. He’s giving his critical response. Most coaches are critical. It’s coach speak. Plus he has 10 years invested so of course watching it be run to the ground by admin could be tough to watch. Probably is. Dang shame.    Stop hating on him.
    • get over it and yourself.  only making you sound miserable.  talk about the good things your new squad is doing, not a full paragraph as a watcher.  Id assume your new HC would be pretty upset since you talked very little about what your great new team did and their win and bash the old team for their ineptitude(it is poinciana, so whats the real expectation here). and by saying not hating, means your hating.  move on, they have!
    • The hype and crowd attendance for the west is going to be insane this year. The talent that’s on the roster. Bridgewater as the head coach. The media coverage is going to be out of this world each and every week.    I see the west going 9-1 maybe undefeated this year. But you can never underestimate the rockets so that’ll be a must see matchup like always. 2024 is going to be a great season for high school football in Florida I can you tell that much.

    • I assume this is in jest, but I would be curious to hear feedback from all the kids who transferred and if they felt like it was a good move for them in hindsight, or do they regret it. If the consensus is it was the right move, then who can gripe about that especially if they have no skin in the game?
