We (Glades Central)been down this road before nothing good last forever. We had the 3 peat, we had the good winning streak in 2 diffrent areas, we had the Team to 4 peat and we where beaten. Teams didnt care how good we were back in the day. Rocklege and Norland sure didnt.

Rocklege 2001 ended our longest winning streak in school history

Norland 10 years later ended our 5 year home game winning streak.

Im not saying we cant lose to Booker T but there wont be any cruising in Belle Glade thats for sure.

Best in Palm Beach County arguably yes. Oxbridge and American Heritage would possible be in that conversation. Dont why people still think its Dwyer. They're good but cant handle competition like they use to.we have our chance to silence that rumor with a win over heritage.

South Florida im pretty sure we are in the top 15 if not 10 as of now but that will change one way or another. We got to prove it this year and I like muckboy are very confident this year

@muckboy561 Miami folks are different. If you go to Northwestern for example, you're thinking about school's like Central, Carol City, Jackson and Booker T. Washington. Don't get me wrong as for standings you wanna know being that they might be in your district, however we ain't saying congrats we're not showing support when we have a bye week and supporting another school when they go to states. I was asking about Pahokee because I know it's a small town like Belle Glades I just wondered if you all kept up with each other.

Yes we do. Alot of are cool with one another.... thats until November gets here. The reason why we got our last minute spring games was becuase of Pahokee. So yea we do keep up with them and support them as well as our baby brother glades day. If Pahokee and us went 9-0 someone gotta get 9-1

I like your Prep enthusiasm muckboy561 but for starters....I would just like to see if Gulliver can beat Oxbridge Academy?

I think he (Muckboy) is just voicing an opinion. Can this Booker T Washington team stop Robert Barns and Gulliver Perp. They might can they might cant but,Im sure he's like me thinking it doesnt really matter who wins.We beat Clewstion, University and Summerset we take the district7

We'll be waiting for you both.

    • I seriously can't remember how many times I had to do that very thing. Like Nolebull said in another discussion, the kids know kids from other schools and where the "hot hand" is. I never entertained discussions with kids or parents of kids from other schools. I know we lost some good ones because of it but I am ok with that.
    • In a single word, "no." In a lot more words, see the following: (From 2023-24 FHSAA Handbook) 36.2 GENERAL DEFINITIONS 36.2.1 Athletic Recruiting. “Athletic recruiting” is any effort by a school employee, athletic department staff member or representative of a school’s athletic interests to pressure, urge or entice a student to attend that school for the purpose of participating in interscholastic athletics.   and this . . . 36.2.2 Improper Contact. “Improper contact” is contact, either directly or indirectly, whether in person or through written or electronic communication, by a school employee, athletic department staff member, representative of the school’s athletic interests or third parties, such as an independent person, business or organization, with a student or any member of the student’s family, in an effort to pressure, urge or entice the student to attend a different school for the purpose of participating in interscholastic athletics.  See Policy 37.    In fact, if the kid contacts the coach at another school, the coach is not supposed to communicate with the kid other than to refer the kid to the person at the school responsible for admissions.    Best I can tell, there is no exception for being able to reach out to a kid who plays a sport that is not offered by the school that the kid currently attends.  Perhaps there should be . . . but then you'd really be opening Pandora's Box.
    • So you are not allowed to talk to a kid who is not an active football player currently attending a school that doesn’t have a football team?
    • 1.  Ask around and get the kid's phone number. 2.  Call the kid.  3.  If that doesn't work, DM the kid.  4.  Once communications are established, try to convince the kid to come to your school.  There may be other ways, but I think this would be the easiest way to recruit a kid .
