I'd like to address a couple of things.   Booker T- Need I say more they are BookerT. We welcome the challenge anytime.   Bolles-will always be a team up north that shouldnt be counted out. Trut

Our sschedule is kinda on the light side its the playoff that get rough. We wont take any team lightly we going for it this year. All goes well, 4A Championship comes to Belle Glade period!

I doubt that too Broward

speaking of competition, same here, if we are good enough to make it to Orlando in December there is only one team I want to play in that championship and it would be STA bc if we really are good enough to get there I know STA would be the best the 7A south has to offer and if we could find a way past them I would know for a fact that we would have earned it, if not then at least we would know we played the best in the 7A and would be cool to get to play one of top teams in nation in a big game like that which would be much more fullfiling then being knocked out in the first round, and being in Orlando we would have plently of motivation for 2016 season

The muck guys how's the mood in Belle Glades. I know much isn't offered in that area but I remembered when ESPN did that show on the muck bowl it was roughly 15,000 people in attendance. Another instance was when Glades Central played Dwyer and it was ESPN televised and I remember on both instances the community, alumni and students all came out. One guy said every Friday he'd cook for the football team. Winning isn't what it used to be, but do people still go to the games and do they see high hopes in the future. I can tell you in Miami people won't show unless you're winning.

STA,thats fair, but we prefer it to stay it the way it. We dont like losing but love the trill of competition. We're Glades Central! We welcome all Challenges including B.T.W.

I understand talk is a way of life in FL. For me I never liked talk because everytime I would STA would lose. Examples being Bosco last year and those years we lost to Lakeland in the mid 00s lol.

I'd love to play GC again though. I don't think we have ever beaten you guys, if we have it was a while ago.

  • 3 weeks later...

Let me say this about Booker T. Washington. Everyone is saying they won't be the same this year which I understand why, however there district is easy. If the Tornadoes win streak end this year I still see them making it to states and winning. St. Thomas, Central and Columbus will be the 3 biggest opponents.

I never said they wouldn't win state, I just said they wouldn't finish 15-0, STA and Central are very talented and BTW is not as strong as past years, and a new coach, will all come into play and end the streak, florida talent is just too good for a streak like that to continue

    • HornetFan, if a football is uncatchable or not has no bearing on DPI, OPI, or any other foul in NFHS rules.
    • Atlantic Coast beat Lincoln this year in regional quarterfinal...
    • Perspective, that was definitely a dead-ball personal foul in my view. The DB clearly led with his shoulder a few seconds after he was able to see that the the receiver had not caught the ball, the pass was incomplete, and the play was over. There is no need for that kind of behavior, and we need to get to late hits like that out of the game now or the game will be legislated away, and there will be Friday Night High School Flag Football games. That was the correct foul by the line judge.
    • This is /was a very good Boone team who fought to the very end.  Take nothing away from them...they are a tough gutsy bunch.  That being said, the referees assigned to this game were from out-of-area. We have never seen them before this night.  Tough calls went for and against each team all night long.  The game could have easily gone either way, but VB made one final play to end the overtime.  The YouTube announcer stands on top of the PressBox and is not seen or heard by the public announcer (inside the PressBox) for the games.  In fact, I have never even heard the YouTube guys myself until just now.  There is no way any fan could hear those guys begging for any calls...not the way they seem to whisper into their microphones.  lol.  Now, we prepare for Miami Palmetto next week in the Citrus Bowl.   I just want to line up correctly.
    • Are Matanzas and Deltona's wins against New Smyrna Beach and Tampa Freedom respectively in the first round of the "playoffs" this year not being considered? Also, Matanzas started playing football in 2006, not 2005.
