Best Finals in a Long Time

With the exception of the St. Thomas/Plant game all the final games were either reasonably or very competitive. In fact these were the best overall finals in a long time. Pity the attendance was not better.

Only saw 4,5,6,7,and 8A live. Cocoa is central Florida, Ponte Vedra was a play short. Lake Gibson wasn't far off, Plant blown away, Dr Phillips a play short.  The south is still dominate, but the gap is closing at the top

I felt Lake Gibson evenly matched CC.

 

Also i unlike 181. I doubt STA puts a running clock on every state finals team lol.

STA is flat out dominating at the end of the season. They are beatable early in the season though, but when the transfers jell together after a few games, they become wicked.

 

You are going to see more teams that can compete with STA in the future. Athletes will find the school in their county that has the best shot at a championship and transfer now that the rules have changed. The even playing field is there for the schools that want it, they just need the coaching staff and the athletes to transfer in.
