Wow that is great stuff...I didn't realize they started playing back in 1939 and 1941. You've done a lot of research. I'm impressed!

I have the complete history for Wakulla High football. Crawfordville High consolidated with Sopchoppy High in 1967 to form Wakulla County High School. I even have some history for Crawfordville and Sopchoppy. Both started playing 6 man football back in 1939 and 1941. they played in a 6 man football conference with teams like Florida High, Wewahitchka, Pt St Joe and Jefferson County

  5. What badbird continues to ignore is just because the graphic wasn't released before the spring game doesn't mean the graphic wasn't started before then Graphic I've been working on since February but I've had to wait for this school to actually communicate since the school doesn't tell me shit and they don't care enough to have any updates which is why the football program doesn't have any social media And they wonder why they can't build any brand or respect, they rely on a school account that you would have to scroll through a bunch of irrelevant stuff to get any info on the football program and that's if they even choose to share which they usually don't

  6. So if Winter Park put out a brand new schedule today they should include the spring game they already played vs DP and Apopka?

Thank you very much. Also add in District 8A-12 i think when Flanagan, Miramar & Cypress Bay were pretty well back then. Not the case anymore.

  9. Jesuit went 14-1 last season, losing a heart-breaker to American Heritage 16-13 in the State Semi-finals. The Tigers return their top WR's, including Junior Vandeross, who just committed to play college ball at Toledo. Kid had 11 catches for 242 yards and 2 TD's in the Regional finals game against Jones. Jesuit's top RB, Joquez Smith also returns. He rushed for 1226 yards and 18 TD's last year. They also bring back the leading tackler on defense (and 3 of the top 4), including Troy Bowles at LB. Jesuit over-performed last season, largely on the strength of the right arm of QB Joe Pesansky, who threw for almost 3,000 yards and 35TD's. The Pesansky family moved down to Tampa last summer (Joe's younger brother also started on defense as a freshman) and, in a move that ruffled the feathers of a few area Jesuit alums, Joe was able to transfer into Jesuit as a senior. He rewarded that decision with an outstanding season. Pesansky's backup last year was Luke Knight, a freshman who got a little mop-up action, but is largely game-day untested. He should be able to gain experience over the course of the season by handing the ball off to Smith or throwing short passes to Vandeross, French and Co., who will have the speed and quickness to turn 5-yard outs into 75-yard TD's. But, he'll just be a sophomore this next season. Assuming no one transfers in this season, I suspect the talent around him will make him look good this season and then his own talent will carry him - and the team - the next two years. Offensive line is a bit of a question mark for me, but only because I'm not as familiar with the guys in the trenches as I am the skill guys. They'll have good depth and a multitude of good coaches. I expect them to make another deep run in 2021.

  10. They still have an ESPN game to fill which may be an OOS game And they had Miami Northwestern but Northwestern bailed on the game

  11. BTW, that’s a pretty weak schedule! Gibbons & Dillard the toughest games. No out of state team. No 305. No Deerfield.

  12. As Perspective laid out in his own lawyerly, rather cheeky way, they are both talented and well coached. To me, they are a more consistent version of Bishop Moore in Orlando which is equally well coached, but does not always have as much talent.

  15. That’s one thing I’m going to be paying attention to this year our discipline because against teams just as talented we won’t be able to get away with being disciplined. because we have the team to go all the way.

  17. Yeah I was following that game last year AHP was lucky to win that one and Jesuit likely won state if they could have made it out of that game, Jesuit has been so close that they kinda remind me of mid 2010s Dr Phillips in how close they have been to winning a title who did eventually manage to do it Sometimes persistence pays off

Actually it's ESPN3...supposedly down to the Wakulla game and one other game...not sure of the other teams. Todd Williams is probably the best prospect coming up at Wakulla. He's a 6'3" 240ish DE...will be a junior next year. His dad Todd played at FSU and in the NFL. The big schools are talking to him...he has a chance to be a good one.

Wakulla makes the playoffs just about every year in 5A. They played for the 5A state championship in 2011 and 2015. In 2012 they were undefeated and ranked #1 in 5A and were upset by Godby 14 - 7 in the second round of the playoffs. Godby went on to win the 5A state championship. Wakulla had defeated Godby quite easily a couple of weeks earlier to win the district championship. That turned out to be Godby's only loss of the year. In 2019 they were undefeated and lost to Orlando Jones 21 - 20 on a missed extra point late in the game...they could have easily won that game. In a crazy season last year they were upset in the playoffs by Pensacola Pine Forest 28 - 21 in overtime. They manage to win a lot of games without having a complete roster turnover with incoming transfers during each offseason. Overall they've played in five state championship games and won two of them. I don't know anything about Delaware Valley. In 2015 they played Cathedral Prep out of Pennsylvania in this event and beat them easily. I don't know anything about the other Florida schools on that list.

  21. I didn't say that Osceola should be counted out of their District race. I said that I won't be surprised if West Orange wins that district. Chad Mascoe is a good QB and he usually played well this past Winter in the 7v7 contests that I attended, but he wasn't playing for Osceola HS. He was on one of the many all-star type teams. His supporting cast at the UCF camp on June 5th was the Osceola HS team and they weren't overly impressive on offense or defense. They had a few losses including their game that I watched with Winter Park.

  22. They need to hurry up instead of waiting till the last minute to make a state final selection, and it should be Orlando, but hey, i don't make the decisions for them.
