c2c is an extremely user unfriendly site for both fan and coach. Maxpreps is so much cleaner and easier to use than C2C. The only positive in c2c was the contract process which still was a pain in the butt.

I said this before but someone is still going to be unhappy. Every school is not making it in the playoffs.

I think Region 3 and 2 in 3A need to be swapped for Geographical playoff matchups with Region 1. 

Yeah if Baker wins I would be wrong. Lol. No big deal I would say congrats to Baker, you got it done!!

Panhandle hasnt seen a team like this alll year.

Trust me I know Cocoa is more battle tested and I expect Cocoa to win. Just can't doubt Bolles just for the reason that Corky Rogers is still running the program. Back when they played in Jacksonville both of them were ranked #1 in 2A and 2B respectfully. The game went down to the wire with Cocoa coming back to win on the legs of Chevelle Buie. Both of them won state titles that year.

Bolles looking tough. I've said it for awhile now, 4A and 3A are no pushovers. Heck, 3a and 4a have put the hurt on most of the 8a teams they've played this year.

There is no "competing" with...I don't want to go down this road again but kids (and their parents influience) actually want to go to schools like AHP for more than football.  Some take advantage of the opportunity to be part of a great football program and academic program.....While some want to stay put at their "home" or public school.....You could only relate if you live in Broward or Dade but this concept of a school like AHP is recruiting all of the best players is overblown.  I can name 5-10 public schools last year in Broward and Dade that put out as much or more D1 talent than AHP. If AHP has all of the talent then why does the best WR ( Deerfield Beach)  and DB (Flanagan)  in Broward play for public schools?  How much better are AHP's RBs than Carol City or Miami Centrals  ?  How many QBs are as good as the AHP QB in SFL?  AHP is stacked at secondary , I'll give you that. 
 
If I told you Southridge has 18 Seniors with FBS offers and 11 of them were 3* recruits or higher would you believe me?  Probably not because everyone is too busy counting heads at AHP assuming they are hoarding all of the best players.  Unless you live down here, it is very hard to relate.
 
I'll bet you that the BTW versus Cocoa PUBLIC, Carol City versus Mainland PUBLIC game both have more talent on the field and FBS recruits combined than the AHP versus Bishop Moore PRIVATE game!  Yet the private schools are "recruiting" all of the talent   Heck, probably Delray Atlantic versus Deerfield Beach and Southridge versus Coral Gables do as well

AHP's roster was never Miami loaded.  FHSAA does not allow "recruiting" ( transfers galore to a private school I'll give you) and most of their roster are kids within 8 miles of the school.

If it makes you feel betterAHD and AHPs  programs have basically peaked.  Maybe 1 or 2 more strong years.  Things are going to be changing over there......  Not going to get into details but I would say by 2018 '19-ish their rosters and depth won't be as D1 loaded.  I'll just leave it at that.

I'll give it a chance.  In fact, my school will probably not be effected at all, and maybe even benefit from the new system.  I never though it right that 3 team districts exist where a team can get into the playoffs with a 1-9 record while a 7-3 team in the next district sits out.  Also, some early round match-ups usually are tougher than the later rounds because of district vs district format.  But truthfully what bothers me the most is how the state legislature and the FHSAA have all but made recruiting legal and the trend that has been going on for the last five years or so where there are a few schools that benefit by seeing how many transfers they can get and thus compromise the whole purpose of having classification in the first place.  

First, Landmark and Avante Garde are non-FHSAA members, so those teams wouldn't even qualify.
 
Second, half the other teams you mentioned are staying in the SSAC. Halifax and Wildwood are the only ones that aren't in the SSAC. Wildwood would be in 1A and Halifax 2A. 
 
So let's not start throwing things together just prove a point because we don't like the system. What is sad is no one wants to give this a chance to see what is going to happen, what the districts are going to look like or what the new conferences will look like that are going to come out of 1A-4A.
 
So far I am aware of two 1A conferences forming (one being the old Suwannee Conference). Plus there is a possible formation of super conference down in the Polk/Highlands County area that could consist of at least 6-8 teams consisting of teams that would be in 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A. From what I have seen, this is seriously something the FHSAA could not put together under the current system, but talk about travel being cut down. 

I don't like it either.   Larger districts would have solved the problem.  3 district per region, champs and runner-up in,  the remaining 2 spots going to the 3rd place teams with the best overall record and a point system to tie-break.  It worked before.  

So I guess FAMU high will be very popular next year

The stories coming out about this game are nothing short of tear worthy and passion.  I didn't see it from the live stream; however, apparently after the 3rd OT and the teams knew they were going to be in it for the long haul- the teams started helping each other stretch when they cramped. When a player went down, the other team picked him up and dropped him off with the athletic trainers. When a player fell down, the other team helped him up.  I also just read that the MCC fans after cheering for their team after the win, made a tunnel of respect and clapped and cheered CCC on as they got back on the bus. The MCC fans were hugging and giving high 5's to the CCC players and coaching staff.

As a mother of 2, if my boy played his last ever football game- that would be such an amazing way to go out. I can't overstate the kudos between both programs. Hard not to root for MCC next week. Both programs just picked up a ton of fans state and nation wide.

Alright been talking to the owner of TexasFBT.com. We are going to cede the national stuff to them. Let us focus on what we do and know best here and that is Florida. We will encourage any national user that wants to keep a closer eye on what is going on Florida to come here and chat about those topics, but the national topics are going to go there. We will soon have a direct link on here to help facilitate that.

I don't follow HS football outside of Florida. But if there was a way to at least discern between the Florida and National posts, that would make it a bit easier.

If it turns out that Dwyer instigated the incident, I am clueless as to what the Dwyer players were thinking but it would not surprise me if they just decided to have a "I don't give a bleep" attitude and decided they wanted to take STA down one way or another.
 
I have seen much better teams than Dwyer recently go into STA's house and talk trash and try to be disruptive. Win or Lose they are not assaulting other players with fists.  They take their lumps, and accept the fact that they got beat by a nationally elite team.   
 
STA had to swallow severely painful losses @ BTW and @ Bishop Gorman this year.  I'm sure their players were enraged inside and I'm sure both teams talked a bunch of trash to one another.  They didn't start a fight, they had to swallow the L, line up and move on - And is life...

Having some chats with a few folks who were there..media folks I should say.
 
1) It is known that St. Thomas Aquinas had turned off the filming before that, so they have nothing.
 
2) Still unknown if Dwyer was running film still at that point.
 
3) It appears the officials were already off the field when this took place.
 
4) If no other video is out besides what has been posted through social media and the newspapers, it is going to very hard to tell who should be and shouldn't be suspended for either team. 
 
5) Thus with No. 4 could lead to what I would call a nuclear option and St. Thomas Aquinas gets DQed and Dwyer gets a postseason ban for 2017 because of the limited video to actually make clear of suspensions. FHSAA would send a message and yes the FHSAA could technically do this. That right is reserved by them to kick a team out of the playoffs for something like this.
 
6) Playoffs is a privilege, not a right to be honest. FHSAA could have zero playoffs if they wanted to. 
 
7) I am seeking more info out and as I learn it, it will be shared.  

No... Only some players will get suspended... I know you want them out so y'all have a chance to win but it ain't happening... Just strapem up and beat them on the field...
