If the rules allow for transfers then everyone could be adding transfers. Everyone could be creating "superteams." But in order to get a transfer to come you need to have something to offer. A winning program, a winning coach, and a chance to compete for a title. Lakeland has all 3 boxes checked.
Ultimately if the student's parents decide to transfer their kid, who am I to decide what is in the best interest of that kid?
Lakeland's success is not recent, a overall winning program since 1979. That said as a Lakeland fan I cannot control who transfers to LHS or why. Nor can I make the schedule for the program.
Not sure many fan bases wouldn't take Lakeland's 1979-2019 success and be happy to have it.

It should expand to 16 teams and it should’ve expanded a long time ago.  The ONLY equitable process for a true playoff system should remove as much opinion away from the game as possible. Every conference champion should have a seat at the table without question. Reduce the number of regular season games to accommodate an extended playoff schedule.  Otherwise, why play

8 teams is a nice start. It would also make for some better match-ups prior to the New Year. Other college championships have many more qualifiers.....starting in early December, 16 schools seems about right.

Saw that. NW generally travels well - at least better than all the other 305 programs with the exception of Central. Generation upon generation of Bulls and alumni who used to pack the Orange Bowl for the Soul Bowl with 20k in the stands.
I wondered what Armwood's excuse was - especially with such a strong tradition themselves.

    Great job! I went.
Lakeland was tougher. Period. That's why they won. Great coaching last night as well. Bend but don't break on D and grind hard between big plays on O. Aquinas was frustrated and was forced into a lot of mistakes. Not the best Aquinas squad I've seen on offense but still better than most in the state by far.

Congrats to coach Castle. 15-0 overall State Champs!

In each of their 6 state title game meetings, the team that has led at halftime won.  This was the lowest first half score of any of the games.  It was 13-6 Lakeland at halftime in 1996.
