What are some of the top defenses in the state of Florida at stopping the run?

Ps: I plan on making a few topics similar to this I.e. pass defense, rush offense and pass offense then combine offense and defense so we can narrow the field down till we can get a list of top offenses and defenses in the state

Yeah. Probably a bit too early to really evaluate. Lakeland's defense has given up 93 yard of TOTAL offense so far. But.....it has been against Ed White (3 yards of offense) and Auburndale (90 yards of offense). Carol City will give them a good test this week.

Ed white looks weak now, not same team that destroyed us in 2014, we probley beat them by 40 points if we played this year

What has happened to them?

Not sure. I know they had a coaching change this year. But, I don't know if they just had a mass graduation a couple of years ago or what. They did pretty much just fall off the map. It kind of stinks for Lakeland because it should have been a quality opponent. Ed White went 11-3 in 2014 and Lakeland put them on the schedule for 2015/1016......then they pretty much collapsed.

Cocoa is another that definitely passed the eye test.

And the numbers back it up.

vs TCA: 17 rushes for 15 yards and 0 TD

vs BG: 28 rushes for 191 yards and 1 TD

For context, the week after, TCA against Columbia ran 31-46yds-1TD

For context, the week before, BG against Cedar Hill(TX) ran 41-380yds-6TD

Those good numbers on our side for losing 34-0
