Its simple, Miami was a dumpster fire before Schnellenberger.  Small school, limited resources, high admissions standards.  Butch Davis brings the same caliber of coaching and recruiting to a school that has resources, and the ability to recruit south Florida.  Everybody loves him.

Not right away and they need to give him a good 5+ years to make a difference.

Took schnellenberger 5 years So it won't be overnight or even in that time frame but sounds like if he still there a decade from now then they will be a solid D1 program
