Blountstown/Madison final

your run to the state semifinals that year was vs teams with a combined 17-13 regular season record.  Chiles 6-4 Lincoln 4-6 and Bartram Trail 7-3.  Then you faced a 6-4 Viera team.  It was set up for you to make a run and you still couldn't do it.  I'll take 2015 Trenton

You leave out how we won them

40+ scored on Chiles

Running clock on Lincoln and Bartram Trail

We didn't just beat them, we crushed them

Both those teams had speed which was what hurt us

I don't recall Trenton having 4.3 speed on that team

We faced a team similar to Trenton and came 1 td from getting a running clock on them

you didn't face a team like Trenton.  you are just making shit up.  What else can you use to determine who is better if they don't play?  I have no idea how many state titles you would have in 1A but I know in 7A you aren't a real contender.  You were not a contender in 2015 either.  STA would have beat you by 60.

they were average.  Did you crush 6-4 Escambia?

I ain't type of person to throw my team under the bus but a lot of stuff is missing from those game details that cost Columbia in that game

Columbia might have beat 2014 port St Joe.  I'm not giving them 2015 Trenton and Pahokee beats 2016 Columbia and Madison beat 2017 Columbia.  You would not dominate 1A.  You would be much better off but the top teams each year are either on Columbia's level or better.

Bet you didn't know they changed one of the starters on the offensive line the week of viera despite the ol holding up for second half of season

Details that apparently don't show up on the game documentary

so you are saying they got out coached.  Trenton would have also out coached them.

I call bull shit.  Do you know how many guys go to the NFL combine each year and run sub 4.4

Latrell Williams was clocked at sub 4.4 while here

One of coaches timed him

Mike Williams I'm almost positive was able to clock a 4.4 but I'm going off second hand info so can't confirm myself

And dallon Washington was probably faster than both of them and would been power 5 receiver if he had better grades

More like they tried to mess with something for no reason

I still don't Know why you would change the starting lineup that had been working

a coach timing a kid with a stop watch isn't accurate.

Well i never said we borrowed the nfl stop watch people for the clocking lol

Only that the team clocked them at sub 4.4

Either way all 3 were speed demons

then they don't run a 4.4 or lower unless it is electronic.

    • The guy is at a school named American Collegiate Academy. One would think preparing kids to get to college and get a degree is a focal point. And the director himself has yet to get a college degree. How, exactly, can they actually sell themselves as superior to most any school? How do we determine if they have, in fact, done things "properly"? They appear to be operating (like most all charter or private schools) free of much of any oversight.
    • Paul Quinn at Lake City Columbia and Bartow.
    • Clearly Jesuit has the better track record over the last several years. The ONLY explanation for a kid leaving Jesuit for Gaither for football is that Gaither has a coach(es) that are hip and popular with the kids. They look like the flavor of the month. Which, I suppose in these days, is equated with "accomplishment". Barf.
    • OK. The only way Ransom makes Lakeland better is if he brings several other quality players with him. IMO, Mason Martin was their best QB last season. This season, he figures to certainly be better than Ransom. Perhaps equally important in the transfer thread is the fact that Will Bahler took a job on USF's staff. He's been Lakeland's recruiting coordinator for several years, and is thought by many to be a big factor in getting so many transfers to Lakeland the last few years. The vague Twitter rumblings are that Lakeland hasn't fared well in the transfer sweepstakes. Probably a good thing, but one that suggests they won't be loaded like the last couple of seasons.
    • They were a very good, underrated team which did not get much respect outside the Orlando area. They had a decent shot at taking down St. Thomas and in the end came up just short. I understand why the QB threw the ball to Tommi Hill on the final play of the game as he had a hot hand the last two Edgewater drives. But he was double covered so the throw had to be perfect and it was not. If he had looked left instead of right, Edgewater had another decent receiver, who, while not wide open, only had one defender covering him. That would have been a better, more interesting option.
