Which larger public schools (those currently classified as 4A-8A) opened in the past 25 years and appeared in a state final 10 years or less from the year they opened their doors?   It's OK to guess!

Wharton first year 97, state finalist 2002

Only 4 of the larger public schools were able to make a state final within 10 years of opening.  And, in each case, that was simply making the state final, not winning it.  3 of the 4 took 9-10 seasons to do it.  It takes a LONG time to build a consistent, winning program.

Is there a common thread that allowed these particular schools to accomplish this feat? ...just asking.

All 4 had good coaching staffs at the time they made the state finals. All I think all four are also from relatively affluent, fast growing areas.
