Quiz-Who Are These Tampa-Area QB Stars?

We have made our way around the state and now it is time to talk about Tampa-area qb's.

IMG Academy has had several qb's make the ESPN 150 list in recent years.  But they are not the only school in that neck of the woods to produce highly-rated qb's.

Since 2006, at least 4 qb's who played for Hillsborough/Pinellas/Manatee County schools(not including IMG) made the list.

Who are they and for what schools did they play?

Stephen Garcia - Jefferson?

Stephen Garcia graduated from Jefferson High School in Tampa in December 2006... completed 506-of-821 passes for 8,081 yards and 83 touchdowns while leading his team to the playoffs each season, including a spot in the championship game as a sophomore... also rushed 263 times for 1,345 yards and 17 scores... graduated as the all-time county leader in passing yards, completions and touchdowns and third in the state for career passing yards and sixth in TD passes... earned all-state honors as a senior after passing for over 2,500 yards and 29 touchdowns and leading his team to a 9-3 record... as a junior, he passed for 2,800 yards and 28 TDs and rushed for an additional 700 yards and eight scores... as a sophomore, threw for just under 2,800 yards with 27 TDs... ... was a four-star prospect by both Rivals.com and Scout.com... was regarded as the third-best quarterback at the Elite 11 camp in the summer prior to his senior season.

At U of South Carolina, he finished as one of the all-time leaders in passing yards, completions, attempts and passing touchdowns, and was just the third quarterback in Gamecock history with 6,000 career passing yards.  After a series of suspensions, he was eventually dismissed from the team.  Last I heard, he was working as a private qb coach.
