I've been keeping my eye out and I'm also trying to see if Columbia game with Valdosta was finalized because if it fell through than we would have that week open

Most definitely keep me updated ..we’re most definitely trying to make our non district games extremely solid this year.

Yes that week is open. AHP has Dillard as the classic wk 0 atm.

Having them even as the classics is dope ...I see Dillard isn’t playing about upping their schedule.

but tbh I think Dillard wants to travel to play a quality opponent in the regular season.

Carol city has 9/4 open. Are you already playing them?

Na they not on our schedule as of yet ...

that would b a good inner city matchup ..it seems tho like the coach is tryna travel up state for a matchup in the Orlando Tampa jacksonville etc area for some reason.

He won’t find a better team than Carol City in those areas

Yeah because it's not like a 5-5 team from Jacksonville didn't running clock Carol City last year

That would be completely impossible and extreme madness that could only happen in make believe land

I said he won’t FIND a better team. Meaning all the great teams are booked up. Lol

And what’s crazy is because we don’t have a lot of wiggle room we have two year contracts with a few non district teams from last year.

for ex..pahokee comes to us this year after traveling to them last year; we travel to Columbus this year after hosting last season; and piper comes to us this year after us traveling last year.

so so far that puts our schedule in no specific order
American heritage Plantation (kick off classics)

columbus

pahokee

piper

boyd Anderson (district)

northeast (district)

Hollywood hills (district)

Archbishop McCarthy (district)

ely (annual soul bowl)

So that leaves us with only two games to schedule two Quality teams that will get us ready for the playoffs.

    • Here is a tough one. 1980 Gainesville or Tate. Both 13-1 Here is the tape of the tape. Please let me know what you think.    Tale of the tape.    Tate - class 4A only loss was against 8-2 Choctaw by 4 points  beat 12-1 Miami Columbus in the title game 35-7 but the game was in Pensacola. Meaning Columbus had to drive almost 10 hours  Gainesville - class 3A only loss was against 10-1 Palatka by 8 points  beat Titusville 21-0 in the title game on the road in Titusville
    • For 1997 I picked Carol City over Raines. It was tough but CC finished top 5 in the nation according to USAToday. And they played a tougher schedule. It’s tough when you have the top 2 teams both undefeated.
    • Yeah in the 70’s-90’s the debate will most likely be between the top 2 largest class state champs
    • 1976 - Godby HS went 14-0, defeated ledgendary Gene Cox, Leon Lions for the 1st time in school history in its last game of the regular season. Beat a Carol City Team, (that would come back the next year to win the 1977 state title), 21-15 in Lakeland, FL for the 1976 4A title. Two members of that Godby team (Sammy Knight, Chris Hobbs) would then lead FAMU to a upset win over the University of Miami. 1978 - Meritt Island - Beat Carl Madison coached (going to see the name Carl Madison alot through out the 80's),Pine Forrest for the 4A state Title 20-16 and would go on to be repeat state champs winning the 1979 state 4A state title as well, seeing Pine Forrest once again in the Finals 1979 - Merritt Island - Beat Pine Forrest 19-14 1980 - Argument could be made that 3A state Champ Gainesville HS was the states best, as they defeated Titusville on Titusville's home field 21-15, but in the end Carl Madison's (who we'll talk about again in the 80's), Tate HS has to be considered the state best destorying Miami Columbus HS 35-7! 1981 - Again 3A would again have to be where the state's best team played. Palatka after struggling in its 1st round game went on to dominate evenutally winning the state title 42-2 over Suncoast. Unlike Vero Beach (which won the 4A state itle that year), Palatka was loaded with star power, with 2 of its players eventually playing in the NFL (John L Williams, and Jarvis Williams) 1982 - Going 3A once again as Titusville would shutout 3 of its 4 playoff opponents, winning the state title over Osceola 33-0 1983 - 4A Manatee High School goes 14-0 for its 1st state title and the beginning of a dynasty through out the 80's and into the early 90's   more later.......
