Happy New Year all! Hope all is well with you and your families?

Does anyone know when our "wonderful" (sarcasm) governing body of high school athletics will have the reclassification information posted?

Happy New Year MC! Let’s hope the China Flu doesn’t take football away in 2021 :P

I'm more concerned right now about winter and spring sports because the state seems to view those sports as "expendable" but if football could have a full season the state would be hypocrites to screw over the winter and spring athletes and that's facts!

Well with the vaccine coming out now we should see a steady decline in Covid-19 cases around April or so. President Trump really pushed hard for it to come out and I’m glad it’s here. Normal life should resume soon.

Governor DeSantis said canceling schools (and thus sports) was a mistake last Spring. Few school districts are going to exercise their local control to shut down schools. Unless, this thing comes and kills thousands of students (which honestly it hasn't by now). I don't think you will see the FHSAA cancel anything (they may delay or postpone or forfeit games), but everything will continue as normal.

Well he conveniently didn't realize that "mistake" until after it was too late for those seniors who got screwed even though virus was worse in the fall while playing a full contact sport unlike spring sports where you actually can have some form of social distancing

But we all know the only sport the state cares about and therefore the only athletes they care about is football

But your probably right but I hope people hold them accountable to give the same flexibility to the "non revenue" sports that they did with football

For the schools in Orange County, football was a "non-revenue" sport this past Fall. Each player, cheerleader, and dance team member received two tickets at no cost to each game. It wasn't until the playoffs, that the FHSAA inserted itself and charged admission to the playoff games. Other "non-revenue" sports are being played right now.
