Obviously he doesn't like unlimited transfers because it becomes a free-for-all where students are no longer students but rent-a-players where funny business runs unabated. It's now not uncommon where a kid transfers in the fall semester for football and then transfers elsewhere in the spring for a different sport. School choice has always been about academics, not athletics. These "school choices" are clearly for athletics, not academics. I personally also don't like unlimited transfers but maybe a compromise is unlimited transfers to an equal or higher rated school so that it is still about academics? Poorly rated schools who want transfers will then have to put all of their money into improving the academics of their school.

That officiating crew was suspended, and the Supervisor of the Officials Association issued an apology and admittance of wrongdoing by the crew to the Cocoa Athletic Director.

Dillards 2 crème puffs they played ain’t gonna hurt their performance tonight. If anything they got used to the end zone again which I hope continues Friday night!!!

I pray that even in possible defeat that we’re able to keep the game competitive. With everything we’ve lost ; on paper this should be a running clock for the raiders but the amount of growth I’ve seen in this over the course of this season has me so dam proud to be a panther & if we can go toe to toe with another national ranked opp on the road it just goes to the growth girth and overall will power of this team. & going into the playoffs Dillard would be a force for anyone they play. Which is crazy because after losing a head coach & over 30 transfers making the playoffs was far from a guarantee.

I'm pulling for Dillard but it's just not a reasonable expectation vs STA. I would hate to be in their district. So unfair.

wow, really? you live by school A but travel past 4 schools to get to where you want to go. you can want in 1 hand and take a dump in the other, which one fills up quicker? you are part of the problem, go where your zoned. period. wanna go past those 4 schools, move.

But who's to say that Dillard won't start getting transfers again next year? Dillard is having a winning season in spite of all the tumult. Kids in neighboring schools will surely look at these results and say, "hey, I want to be a part of that!" Especially if Dillard wins a couple of playoff games and keeps the STA game respectable? Gosh. And just like that, Dillard will be a destination school once again.

Dillard could not possibly have a worse scenario in front of them. They just played 2 games in 4 days and it's about to be 3 in 8. We talked about it on Scorestream. With the district championship on the line, playing STA @ Brian Piccolo on a short week of rest is just a recipe for disaster. And beyond that, it's clear from what happened in the Cocoa game that you won't get a fair shake with STA's officiating crew anyhow. STA by 17 or more. Just focus on trying to get healthy for the playoffs and seeing these guys again in a potential rematch with (hopefully) more rest.

Keep an eye on North Port. They just achieved their first winning season in school history and now have a chance to win 6 games in a season for the first time ever. First-year head coach Garon Belser has them moving full steam ahead in the right direction. A few years from now they could be in conversations to win a district championship, and maybe even a playoff game!

After looking through the most recent ranking of the FHSAA, I can say it has gotten better by a fairly significant amount. However, there are still some serious discrepancies. I have listed a few examples: Teams clearly ranked too low: Miami Central at 35, Jones at 99. Teams clearly ranked too high: Williston at 9, Walton at 12, Bradford at 14, Eu Galle at 15, Orange City University at 16, Atlantic Delray at 18. I could cite many more examples. Many of the underrated teams are in great positions to secure playoff spots. For them, I shed no tears as they will have ample opportunity in the playoffs to show their mettle. Likewise, many of the overrated teams have also secured playoff spots deservingly, as they are slated to be district champs which are automatic births. Where I have concerns are for the deserving teams that will likely be left out because of quirks and/or errors and for the undeserving teams that may benefit at their expense.

And Miami Central, Northwestern and a few other publics get more transfers than everyone on the list not named IMG Academy What you gonna do to control them? Since it's clear the FHSAA is handcuffed and the state legislature for some reason supports the public school chaos

Did anyone miss the playoffs? That could be the only reason I could come up with if 0-8 teams are making the playoffs. Imagine going 2-8 and calling yourself a state champion. Lol.
