If img is so good then have them play STA or Gorman otherwise they have proven nothing

That game last night really was number 1 vs number 2

STA had a bad coaching decision in week 1 against a very talented BTW team

Those 2 were best 2 teams in the nation last night

I would pick either of them over img

@Columbiahighfan2016 I won't say that. Carol City hasn't been to states since 2003 and out of the 2nd round playoffs since 2004. Look I'm not a Central fan nor alumni but I want the state title back home. Central has been to Orlando since 2010, them Rockets know what's up. I mean how well would Carol City play against Mainland and then Armwood.

I think armwood misses states as well so would be 2 new teams

I knew that CC had this kind of run in them when they came to Bradenton to play IMG in the kickoff classic, if CC had a good QB that night that could consistently make accurate throws they would have beat IMG, I was super impressed with CC, It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they made it all the way to Orlando

So if it's a rematch do you all see Carol City beating Central again.

Yes. Unlike last year when the difference was a point, last night was clear cut. The CC team knows it can beat Central and that is half the battle. Not saying it's a done deal, but at this point in time I would favor Carol City to beat Central in the second round if both make it.

Carol City used to be real good in the 1990s and early 2000s when Walt Frazier was there. When he left, a lot of those kids went elsewhere. It seems they are back. And it's not like the demographics of the area have changed. I have been making 3 to 4 trips per year to North Dade County for the past 25 years as my sister lives in the Norland zone. The area is much the same today as it was 25 years ago.

@DarterBlue2 Yeah you're right. The City of Miami Gardens as a whole is 80% black. Norland is 95% black and 5% Hispanic, while Carol City is 85% black and 15% Hispanic.

The Norland area is Miami Gardens lol... Trust me I work and live there... A lot of dreads and Zoe's live in Miami Gardens too...

    • There are zero coaches on campus, every single coach left
    • There is 1,750 kids in the school. That would be their fault if they can’t field a team of 40-50 players. I know it sucks about the mass exodus. I get it. But even though they won’t be competitive for the time being they should at least have enough varsity players returning, JV kids, and newcomers to field a team.    They should have had an assist at coach resume spring workouts, and maybe got in on a jamboree with lesser teams or held an inter squad scrimmage. But to cancel everything seems a bit erratic
    • From 2018-2021 when Dillard was one of the top 5 teams in broward we got there because on the beginning we schedule within our actual talent on the field, we showed success that we are atleast a avg program being able to take care of business against avg and below avg teams. And with the right personnel we can become above avg and actually contend.    and with that came a undefeated regular season in 2019 with a regional final birth, a undefeated COVID season in 2020 and a Fri county championship and a 1 loss season in 2021 and a second round exit on the road to homestead.    dillard has to get back to that. But scheduling central, chaminade , sta and etc of back dropping each game by 40 is not gonna help the program.    you can say “aye atleast we scheduled them we didn’t back down” like I’ve said several times on here lol. but there’s no moral victories in football. You either won or you lost.
    • I wouldn’t say okay with it because wether they was on the schedule or not I’m bleeding blue & gray all day ready for smoke with which ever team were lining up across.    but as a former player & coach I also understand that when you’re a second year head coach taking over a program that haven’t seen a deep playoff run since 2019 and over the last 5 years they’ve played chaminade 5 times (0-5), norland once (1-0) Central once (0-1) gibbons once (0-1) & on top of that you have a mass exodus of players after the coach before you left ; you have to build your program back up to a contending program before you try to schedule the big dogs of south Florida.    for EX: last year Dillard at STA, GIBBONS & chaminade on the schedule went (0-3) and each lost was by over 20+ the sta loss was 58-0. But those games had to be played because of the last year of the contract.
    • Will Lake Minneola even have a team come August
