2) Lakeland -31 over Norland

3) Baker County -3 over Bradford 

4) Florida High -16 over Trin Cath

5) Chiefland -22 over Williston

Can't speak for 3-5, but 1 and 2 are awful. I'd be ecstatic with a 1-point win over this Norland team.

Lakeland will win but won't cover.

Bradford/Baker will be close but I like Bradford to win outright.

Florida High will win but won't cover.

Williston will easily cover against Chiefland. I don't really like that number.

It's awful hard to come up with correct preseason power rankings in high school ball because they don't account for graduation and transfers, both of which can greatly change the character of a team.  I wish I could bet on these lines because some of them are out of whack due to this early season formula quirkiness.  A couple I noticed are no ways.

Seminole Osceola 21 over Palm Harbor U. is a no way because Osceola lost everybody while PHU returns everybody and Osceola only beat PHU by 3 last year with their best team in years.  It's way more likely to go PHU by 14+ over Osceola.

East Lake by 13 over Lake Gibson is also a no way.  ELHS will be a shell of itself compared to last year.  ELHS was down 20-0 to Zephyrhills until ZHS put in its JV and ELHS came back in the 2nd half with their varsity vs ZHS JV.  Look for Lake Gibson by 20+. 

Lakeland 31 over Norland has already been pointed out.  LHS by 14 at most.

I just want to point out that if I could bet on HS football games, I would've hit a big trifecta tonight.

PHU 28  -  Osceola Seminole 14  (I called this exactly and PHU was 21 pt underdogs)

Lake Gibson 26 - East Lake 14 (Lake Gibson was 12 pt underdog)

Norland 48 - Lakeland 34 (Norland was 31 pt underdog)
