So in other words it is last year rankings

 

If they haven't added in transfers or graduated players they don't even come close to having the correct data 

 

Besides these look very close to the final maxpreps rankings from last year

All this means is that it is getting close to football season. Massey is a RATING, not a ranking. Of course it seems about the same as a ranking to me. 

The first 2 weeks will tell us a little more. The 3rd and 4th weeks will tell us a lot. But the real rankings (ranting and raving) will come in weeks 6, 7, and 8. Then the pretenders and lucky ducks will be flushed out in weeks 9 through to the semi rounds of the playoffs. And finally the truth will be known in the semi and finals.

So don't let any early rating/ranking get you up in a tizzy. Let the season roll out first. Early release rankings are just to get your motors warmed up.

Agreed! Rankings at this point in the year are message board fodder and watercooler talk. I like seeing them to see how different computers come up with different rankings.  Maxpreps top 25 in Florida is almost totally different than Massey going into 2018 and I'm sure Calpreps and Lazl will also be different as well.

Calpreps current FL rankings are pretty bad and i have doubts about the current laz index Rankings
