Arguably the best team-based 7on7 tournament in the nation is the Hoover 7on7 tournament. This year, Columbus, Niceville and Tate are representing the Sunshine State.

Sorry for not updating today - been away from internet access all day. 

 

COLUMBUS: #6 Colquitt County (GA) knocked off #22 Columbus 29-12. Then, Wheaton Warrenville South (IL) knocked off #22 Columbus 20-9 to eliminate Columbus. 

 

TATE: Tate bested #48 Paducah Tilghman (KY) 34-8. #47 Tate then lost to #45 Huffman (AL) 26-17. Tate is eliminated. 

 

NICEVILLE: #9 Niceville took down #8 Baldwin County (GA) 25-16 and then topped #1 Warren Central (IN) 29-28. 

 

Niceville is getting ready to play #4 Park Crossing (AL).

Niceville fell to #4 Park Crossing (AL) 23-18. 

 

Now they play #2 Hoover (AL) in the loser bracket semifinals. Loser is eliminated with the winner moving onto play either #1 Warren Central (IN) or #15 Brandon (MS). Niceville needs to win the next two games to make it to the national championship which is later tonight.

Wish more teams would participate in things like this, it's crazy to not take advantage of doing 7 on 7 camps like this

Niceville did great (obviously) and Columbus was pretty solid I think. I mean, you don't really hear too much about Columbus in the 7on7 circuit so just off that alone they performed at a decent level.
