Miami Central fall practice video

MC Rockets

East Ridge beat Osceola in a scrimmage this morning 28-7, I seen some of their kids on twitter earlier saying they're ready for anybody, let's see what happens in the opener, I will be surprised if it's not a running clock the entire 2nd half in favor of Central

Not to sound cocky, but I will be surprised if it isn't as well.

I'm still dumbfounded on how this game was even put on the schedule. I don't care what nobody has to say coaches, fans, students nor alumni Central shouldn't be playing East Ridge. If Central wants to be looked at as a national power then the Rockets need to handle the scheduling a little better. From the end of August to the next year of August gives you a year of planning a schedule. I guess I don't know much about Central Rockets football, but from the outside looking in I was expecting more then what I'm getting and same goes for anybody else is.

For once I finally agree with you on something. This game had NO business being scheduled. Poor scheduling from the MC brain trust.

What bout home and away series?

Even with a home and home we would have to travel first. When have you ever known any of those teams to travel down to the inner city without an inner city school going there first? By no means am I making this a race thing but I've been following this game and the ins and outs for a long time.

And there is the chance they cancell the second year to avoid travel?

In 2011 we traveled to Cocoa. That was suppose to be a home and home...didn't happen.

In 2012 we traveled to Manatee. That was suppose to be a home and home...didn't happen.

You see where I'm going with this?

We had TCA back out 2 years ago when we were gonna travel to them for KOC and they dropped us to play Buford from GA and we picked up west Orange who only traveled to us now we on second year deal with Apopka but will likely look for new opponent next year as well as week 5 and 7 opponents, curious to see who we look into for those open slots

    • When you right you right fam. At the end of the day. Anybody in dade, broward or palm beach know bout Dillard and know we don’t duck no team home or away. We down to line up any day.    but none of that puts points on the score board or guarantee victory. You can be ready and confident all you want, but if your team doesn’t have the personnel to match a national power house who gets in loads of transfers year and year out, 9/10 that score is going to be fairly lopsided.    and as much as I bleed Dillard day and night, and as much as it pains me to say. Dillard is not in Miami central, norland, sta, or chaminades league going into the this upcoming season. Let them beat up on each other.    I believe this is a perfect schedule for Dillard if they’re atleast still an above avg program they should win this district with ease and have no more then 2 loses this year.    if not and they struggle even with this schedule then Dillard as a program is most def going backwards and I would hate that for my Alma mater.
    • I agree with you on everything you said. Why play these powerhouses and get the butt kicked out of you. Yes you're not running away from good opponents, however what does a 63-0 loss due to the morale of a bunch of young men.
    • Welcome to the new wonderful wild west of high school football in Florida. We need to create a new position at each school. Recruiting coordinator. Because that is the only way to win big in this state now at the highest levels. The haves can turn into have not by losing one cheater coach.
    • There are zero coaches on campus, every single coach left
    • There is 1,750 kids in the school. That would be their fault if they can’t field a team of 40-50 players. I know it sucks about the mass exodus. I get it. But even though they won’t be competitive for the time being they should at least have enough varsity players returning, JV kids, and newcomers to field a team.    They should have had an assist at coach resume spring workouts, and maybe got in on a jamboree with lesser teams or held an inter squad scrimmage. But to cancel everything seems a bit erratic
