Wait are you the reason why they lost to Evans in the kumquat bowl in 92?

I lost money on that game. You owe me!

EXACTLY why you don't bet on 14-18 year olds, lol.

Seriously, I refer to those times as the misfit years.  We had the personnel.  What we were missing (hard to believe) was the discipline.  There were things happening off the filed that led to a lot of the misfortunes on the field.

Don't remind me.  I'm one of those Dreadnaughts that did not go to the playoffs in '91 & '92 .

That explains it all !  Once they got rid of you in 1993 that started a playoff streak still going to this day. Although they did get stripped one year during the playoffs for ineligible participation they still were good on the field.  * Daytona Mainland's ongoing public school playoff record started a year later in 1994. The 2023 playoffs will give Mainland thirty in a row. 1994-2023. Nulli, if memory serves me right, FAMU was also "scraping the bottom" in your years. Coincidence, you say ?  I think not...shaking my head in pity.

Yeah didn’t they tie for a title in 91?

They tied Miami Southridge. I believe the score was 22 a piece. Southridge took a decent early lead off of Evans's miscues only to fritter it away. They stormed back on their final drive to tie the game and had a chance to win it, but the xtra point went wide left.
