Well, the much-anticipated matchup is finally here. Venice vs Manatee! Venice, 4-2 after rough losses to Armwood and Cocoa. Manatee, and perfect 6-0 record heading into the game with strong wins over IMG Varsity, Lake Minneola, Port Charlotte, and Braden River. Who wins this one in the race to secure home field throughout the playoffs? I'm rolling with the green team! GO INDIANS!

I believe Venice will win the game but that Manatee will be a worthy opponent that will put up a big fight.

Manatee hasn’t played anyone yet, so this will be a great gut check for them. 
 

The only reason I’m saying it will be close is Manatee seems to get up for this game. They always play Venice extremely tough when they aren’t hot garbage of course. Lol

You've oversold Manatee all year IMO. I think Venice wins comfortably.

In all honesty, I think Manatee is pretty good, but likely not quite good enough to beat Venice.

While the hurricanes is undefeated the schedule they’ve had vs the schedule the Indians has had thus far is NIGHT & DAY. 
 

while I do expect manatee to come out aggressive & full of adrenaline, I expect in the end when the dust settles for Venice to win by a score of 42-14

It will be closer than that. Manatee has some solid athletes.

I don't think the score will be that bad. Manatee and Venice both know what their opponent are capable of after decades of playing. We know what they're going to do. Go out, win the coin toss, and elect to receive first. Then come out with trick plays, fake screens, fake handoffs, you name it. Everything in their playbook is coming out on the first drive. It will be very difficult to defend. So, Manatee is probably going to score the first touchdown. Not the end of the world, but Manatee's defensive line is going to make it very difficult for Venice to run. Fringe 5-star DT Tyreek Robinson, 3.5 -Star Ean "Big Chicken" Johnson, 3-star DE Alvoid Kennon, and 3-year-starter Tristan Titus are one of the best defensive lines Manatee has ever had in their collective school history. They will be a very tough challenge for our offensive line to block and run on. Venice will need plays that develop quickly to beat Manatee's defense and keep them off balance all night. Go Indians!

Venice administration expects this game to sellout. Have to get there very early or buy tickets in advance, or there won't be any at the door!

Buy them in advance. That's the safest way. You have a nice stadium, but I have seen the home side fill up quickly when I watched a game against BR there several years ago. I expect Manatee will travel well.

Manatee beat a good Port Charlotte team last week.

I’d say the Pirates are average from a state level point of view. They’re solid on the west coast. Manatee needed a 17 point 4th qtr to barely beat the Pirates. Not sold out on Manatee yet. Fans tried to force feed us with them last year, & they got exposed. I’ll b surprised if Venice wins by less than 17 points……..
