There has been at least one Ocala area player that "randomly" landed there. In general, though, for most individuals it would involve moving as the daily round trip could exceed two and a half hours depending on traffic and the part of Ocala.

I'm not going anywhere with this but will note:

East Ridge HC Ash Peera was formerly an assistant at Forest and Vanguard.

Former Lake Weir HC Jason Robinson also coaching over at  East Ridge.

It tends to be a fact of life that kids follow coaches. It could be they were induced or just that they are comfortable with who they know. Today's East Ridge is not the same program it was in the early 2000s. Different staff and philosophy and a different student population due to Lake Minneola opening. 

I will give them credit though: they have tried to schedule up (Central, IMG, etc.) to the extent they are able.
