St Thomas vs Miramar

Still in the 1st quarter but Miramar up 13-0. St Thomas looking really vulnerable right now. But heres a link to take a look.

FINAL: Miramar 44, STA 27

Seems like if theres's any year for a team in 7A to knock the Raiders off, it would be this year. Not just saying this bc they lost, but they haven't been their normal dominant selves. Offense isn't scaring a lot of upper echelon teams.

Wow it was true 44 points on that defense is what’s more shocking that’s what’s been winning games for them all year Wow..!! Was starters rested or suem lol

Statement win by Miramar going into the playoffs. I agree with your assessment of St. Thomas. They are vulnerable this year. It will not be easy, but it is not an exercise in futility and a Viera or Venice or Lakeland or even a team from the North end such as Lee or Columbia may be able to upset them.

They weren't disgraced, though. St. Thomas is still the favorite. But some of the other 7A teams must be thinking they have a real shot. Based on how St. Thomas has played this season, they do.

Viera with dominating 35-6 win over Heritage. Played 2nd string whole second half running clock. Very explosive offense  with healthy defense ready for playoffs!

The 44 points STA gave up is more than the amount of points they gave up in their first 9 games (42). The defense will still be strong and STA won't face a stiff challenge in the first couple of rounds in my opinion.

Viera has a realistic shot at extracting revenge for the beating St. Thomas gave them in the state game a few years back. It is not a lock, but I would say this is your year to have a real go at it.

I know Viera is going into playoffs with a lot of momentum on both sides of ball. Coaches confident they can play with anyone in state, save IMG.

Is that the team that got blasted by STA last year I get them and Venice mixed up and will STA be hosting throughout or traveling could play a huge factor

Venice got blasted last year. Viera lost a state title game to St. Thomas a few years back.

Don't really call it a revenge game. Viera was blown out by a hugely more talented team two years ago. No way this Viera team would stand a chance against that STA team. However, we have played a lot of higher competition last two years to raise our game. STA is obviously weaker on offense and we have a stout defense to challenge them. Game could come down to our QB playing at a level he is capable of for the win. Coaching staff will be ready for the challenge!

Dam if Vero could rematch Viera it would be a different game but it also looks good that Vero beat em

I don't think viera even gets shot at revenge,  i think Venice does because they would play sta in 4th round while viera would have to not only navigate a underrated 7a north but hope Venice loses to sta to get the rematch

True but Mays was treating that game like a preseason game. We had 7 turnovers for a reason. He was pushing both QBs to air it out to see what needed to be improved on. Fumbles were no excuse, but 4 interceptions were purely both QBs pushing limits on what they could do. Second string QB threw interception on 35 yd line that led to TD. Viera with 7 turnovers was moving ball for winning score in fourth qt. when Vero stopped them cold and led to two score win for Vero. Viera QB is playing to his potential now and as long as he does that Viera will be very hard to beat.

What does this do to Miramar as far as their expectations in the playoffs go. Deerfield & Miramar are the top two seeds in region 3. Columbus looks the team to come out of Dade for now, but you also have South Dade & Southridge.

Deerfield unless they play Douglas in the first round will not get out the 1st round && miramar will make it to atleast game b4 finals
