Northwestern Reaches Milestones with Win

Armwood has lost every title game in which they trailed at were tied at halftime.

In its 7 previous  title game appearances, the Bulls shut out opponents 4 times in the second half.

Northwestern accomplished the following today:

• 11th Florida team and 4th Florida public school to win 6 state titles.
• First public school ever to win back-to-back state titles in 2 different decades.
• First team to ever shut out Armwood in 59 playoff games.
• First team ever to record 3 shutouts in a state title game. 
• State title winner with 5 regular season losses.
• Moved to #11 on list of teams with most playoff wins...54 wins.

They had 5 regular season losses in their first title run in '95. Went 0-5 to start and won 10 straight to end the season.

I'm pretty sure they lost the first 3 and then ran the table MC.  That was the year of Snoop Minnis.

In '95 MNW had 5 loses. Check your stats...My cousin was on that team.

I also have info from the newspaper.  The 3 losses were to Carol City, Southridge and Miami High.

In 95 Northwestern started out 0-3. They lost to Miami High, Southridge, and Carol City. They never lost after that. NW was led by Nate Webster that year on defense.
