Could be possible if BCAA and GMAC works together. BCAA already got Broward schools playing each other on a set schedule. That's why the Cocoa/Chaminade got canceled since the AHP/Chaminade game got set for the same week

Facts hopefully they can get it done sooner then later.

Even tho this game isn’t apart of the broward showcase I do believe it’s going to be one of the better games that weekend with a big crowd on both sides.

Booker T. Washington people won't show up like you thinking. They have to be playing Central or Da West and they side still not be completely full

Well the west come out regardless how the team is each year. The other teams if their winning more fans will start coming to the games that year. Like Norland last year.

How's Broward in terms of crowd size. I'm guessing soul bowl is the biggest game

Depending on what what school if it’s like a Cooper City , west broward etc then the attendance is extremely low 90% of the time especially on the road.

but as for Dillard we travel extremely well home or away.

I think it's a Florida thing because in Texas they show out. Like bra do you see they football stadiums it's insane. Yet Traz Powell stadium is in need of an upgrade and no dade county public school has a stadium on school campus  like Broward County

That’s all of them boosters they be having. On top of the love of football they have.

a lot of those schools started out predominantly white, but if we’re gonna keep it a band they saw the assets of having black athletes on the team Aka “state titles” so they started getting the blacks in there one way or another lol, so now they have the athletes and the boosters to keep the school with state of the art everything.

in Florida unless it’s a private school or a school like Lakeland or Venice that’s public but have a big booster club. Your school/athletics is not gonna have the best of the best.

hell as long as Dillard been around they just approved to get their stadium redid this summer smh.

(Sniffs) ahhhhh I can smell the grass and hear the band already!! Only 4 more days until these two storied programs face off against 1 another.

this  game won’t count in the win/loss column for either school, but you can best believe the starters for both schools will play dam near all 4 quarters unless 1 school is blowing out the other.

I believe both teams are coming in with something to prove, both teams want the county bragging rights …..954 Vs 305 LETSSS GOOOOO

Both HBHS (historically black high schools)

I wish this was a regular season double header with Ely/MNW. The 2 other HBHS from Dade and Broward respectively.

That would’ve been a great double header. I don’t even know who ely is playing for their koc.

all I know is I’m happy football is back & with a very very good opponent coming to the panthers den on Friday , it’s gonna show us how special we can really be this year or it would show us the things we have to fix quick before the games start to count next week.

Yes all of them are historically black.

Booker T. Washington opened in 1926-1967 high school

1967-1999 middle school

1999-present back as a high school

Miami Northwestern opened in 1955-present

Dillard opened in 1907-present

Blanche Ely opened in 1951-present

South Ridge has a stadium very close to the school that's theirs.

I think that’s their practice field. It’s a few dade schools with fields next to their school that they walk to or drive to but it’s just for practice

most of dade schools play at tropical , traz or fiu north

Besides the local rivalries, how often do any of these teams play? I think MNW played Raines a while back. I think

Dillard play ely every year, last played MNW in the 2nd round in 01 & play BTW Fri, last played em 2018. Never played any of these other schools at all.

I have Dillards history from 1967 until right now and a lot before that too so I can tell you the last time they played any of those teams later

    • I’ve been to 15 Finals.  This year’s games were the best I’ve ever attended.  For what it’s worth, here are my thoughts.  I sat on the the Press Box/Suites side for every game.   Elevate Everyday Play Elevated play essentials that make space for what matters. Our pieces look as...   > 1A - The Chaminade fans I interacted with were very overconfident.  I sat near one whose stepson was the starting center.  I told him I thought Cardinal Newman would keep the game close until halftime and then Chaminade would run away with it.    He looked at me like I was crazy then proceeded telling me how superior Chaminade was.  After Cardinal Newman scored the first touchdown I didn’t even look at him.  He then proceeded to get up and found a cluster of Chaminade fans to sit with.     Elevate Everyday Play Elevated play essentials that make space for what matters. Our pieces look as...   >   Elevate Everyday Play Elevated play essentials that make space for what matters. Our pieces look as...   > When the game ended many of the Chaminade fans just sat and stared into space.  Not looking at each other.  Not saying anything. 2A - I took enjoyment watching a team from the city of Sarasota where I grew up from the age of 10.  Had seen both teams play this year so I thought I had a good gauge on this game.  I mistakenly thought this would be a closer game.  I was amazed how much Mooney dominated the lines of scrimmage. 3A - The big story this season for Northwestern was the replacement at QB of last year’s starter, Leon Strawder, with a sophomore transfer from Ransom Everglades. The Bulls new QB, Neumann Lawrence, was brought over to Northwestern by Teddy Bridgewater himself (at least that was what I was told).  I saw this new QB play twice for the Bulls and he was phenomenal.  Friday night Raines put a lot of pressure on him so he struggled most of the game. I began keeping my eye on Raines especially during the playoffs. I told some that Raines would not beat Northwestern but you would be surprised how close Raines’ talent level was to the Bulls.  The responses were not positive.  I stayed to watch the Vikings celebration.  I’m really happy for them. 4A - This game did go as I thought.  I did not see Jones play this year but I’m very familiar with the program.  I saw AHP play Archbishop McCarthy in the Regional Final.  Despite making early mistakes and taking McCarthy’s best shot the Patriots prevailed.  That night I saw an AHP that was patient, confident and did not get rattled.   5A - Nothing to say except boring. 6A - The clock struck midnight for a young and dangerous West Broward team.  West Boca Raton was dominant and West Broward looked like they had completely run out of that mojo that got them to the finals. 7A - Vero Beach fans must have outnumbered Lake Mary fans 4 to 1.  Many times during the game I heard different people say it’s going to be a long ride home if we don’t win. During the game I was in a group text that Laz was in.  If you don’t know already Laz is a big Lake Mary fan.  During the game we had to talk him off the ledge when Vero was scoring at will.  A few times Laz texted that the game was over and he was going to turn it off.  He hung in there long enough to see his beloved Rams pull off the play of the year and win their first state title.  Congratulations Laz! More random thoughts: * It was obvious Chaminade and Northwestern came into their games emotionally not ready.  Pretty sure they did not fully respect their opponents. * Would the Bulls have won with Strawder at QB?  IMO, probably.   * At the beginning of the season QB Darryon Jones was on Chaminade’s roster.  Not sure why Darryon transferred out to Venice.  He played very well for Venice.  Would the Lions have beat Cardinal Newman with him at the helm?  IMO, probably. * Please give Aquinas a quality opponent next year. * I see that Mike E left the 7A game early because of a little rain.  Just kidding, I stayed but I was soaked.  Truth be told I briefly considered leaving at about the same time he left in the 4th quarter.
    • Is there any possibility that you would be willing to be more specific?
    • Could better coaching decisions have put the game away earlier?
    • What are you talking about? Are you claiming that the game officials made up the penalties?
