Last season was crazy headed into the playoffs with so much happening, this off season has seen so many transfers & changes & now this. & we’re only in February.

what do this means for the rockets ? They always reload & never have to rebuild when it comes to talent, so I’m sure they will have another worthy head coach at the helm, that will keep them as #1 or #2 in dade county moving forward.

He got fired for allowing archrival MNW to get a free title in the weakest class while they had to sit home and watch them raise Miami Centrals trophy.

Next season is gonna be very interesting. Wish it was august already lol.

You might be on to something because Central alumni is like Northwestern alumni. Not as old because they didn't become predominantly black until the 70's, but they don't play about their school. In addition Central doesn't like to lose especially in certain ways. Had Central not gotten disqualified for the playoffs in 2024 they might have beaten Northwestern in the playoffs and definitely beat the breaks off Raines. Also in 2023 Central played Norland twice and in both meetings they had a lead and let Norland come back to win. I think Central would have beaten Berkeley Prep in my opinion and had a 6 peat.

All in all I'm not shocked because in Miami depending on which school you are at the alumni don't play and you have to be ready. Now I'm more ready than ever for the 2025 season to start and Northwestern might be the front runner.

It wasn't just the ineligible player which he was the fall guy for. It was the illegal scrimmage moreso that did them in when that their star db broke his leg and missed his senior year that did it. His mom sued got paid ALOT. Funny everybody assumes Central would've beat NW in playoffs because they won by 3 points in regular season. A game that came down to the wire. Look at heritage and norland. Vikings won in regular season and were blown out in playoffs. Nobody knows who would've won that playoff game.

Northwestern, assuming Bridgewater stays as coach, should be a huge benefactor of this switch. At least as far as the 2025 transfer season goes. Long term Central should be fine.

I heard something about the Bulls returning to Orlando for a KOC this season. Might be a game of high interest! You hear anything about that?

Northwestern and Jones playing again and I agree with you with Central. Long term they'll be good because that neighborhood has talent it's just those few transfers might not be at Central anymore

Is Jones confirmed? Makes sense with it being in Orlando. Though there were rumors of another central Florida power playing in that game. Not sure of the reliability of the rumor though.

I didn't make a false statement on anything i said. And Central alumni is not like NW lol... Teddy is not and  never was going anywhere.  And not sure about confirmation of KOC yet. I'm know Venice coming here to play this season is confirmed.

You right. Central alumni isn't on the same playing field as Northwestern alumni which nobody is but Central is the only school well black one that comes close. As for the KOC I'm thinking Lakeland or Seminole. Venice is coming to Miami and it looks like Jones is out.

Jones is playing Seminole at the Citrus Bowl for the KOC again

I have to check with my people about the KOC... was talking with some Lakeland people at the central game last year. Wouldn’t mind seeing that game.

Rumors tend to be unreliable. But, it seems you may have heard something similar to what I heard. And we might see a Coleman-Lawrence QB duel in Orlando. But you never really know until it happens...

Yeah we have to wait and see. I'm sure their have probably been talks about it but we will see.  Neiman will play of course but he definitely will have to take the job from 3A player of the year and senior to be Leon strawder... whoever we play in KOC I expect both QB to play alot.

I expect this season to be somewhat of a national conversation type season. Too much talent.

    • In today's recruiting era or I mean school choice era, a program in a talent rich area may implode for one year and then get a new coach and completely reload the next year and win a title. MNW imploded for two years in the 2022 (6-5) and 2023 (4-6) seasons with a combined record of 10-11. Along came Teddy and numerous transfers and boom 12-2 with a state title. Back in the day this would be a program disaster, not no more though.
    • I have 3 good friends that are retired from Hillsborough High. Ken Weiss, former track head coach and Charlie & Georgene Diaz.  Charlie, aka as Carlos, was the college compliance counselor and PA guy for the football games.  All three have always spoken highly of Earl and consider him a good friend.  I have a few Terrier football shirts that they have given me over the years.
    • Short term it's too late and players on this team are too invested to leave now. If it's just Teddy getting suspended, it'll probably be similar to what TFA will deal with. If anything, the team might play with more of a chip on their shoulders. LonI don't think many felt Teddy would be there a long time, anyway. How they fare long term depends on how things go at places like Central, Mater Academy and the other Dade schools. If one of those pops off and has an awesome year, they may get more of the talent in the future, so MNW may go back down to what they were before last season.
    • 57 teams per class is a travesty. What an embarrassment.
    • With all the off-season discussion, don't forget the FHSAA regular season kicks off in 5 weeks.  Last year, 460 teams competed in the 8 FHSAA championship classifications.  This year, 458 teams are competing in the FHSAA.  Not exactly the mass exodus that some were hoping for or predicting, but maybe it is coming down the road.  Or not.  In case you forgot your team's district or region foes, here are the 2025-26 FHSAA classifications:  https://fhsaa.com/sports/2020/1/28/FB_classifications.aspx Information on the SSAA football season can be found here:  https://www.sunshinestateathletics.com/page/show/5114520-football
