Boone lost to Vero Beach last night on a blocked PAT in OT.  Up 28-14 in the second half, Boone allowed Vero to tie the game with less than 2 minutes to play.  Vero's last scoring drive involved a long 4th down conversion.

Boone is a team that knows heartbreak in the playoffs.  On numerous occasions in the past 15 years, Boone has let playoff games slip away.

In 2017, Boone was up 20-7 at Wekiva at the half in the second round of the playoffs, and ended losing 24-20.

In 2008, Boone was up 17-14 in a 6A state semi at Seminole and allowed Seminole to drive the length of the field and score in the final minute of the game.

In 2006, Boone lost a 6A state semi at Lake Brantley 34-31 when future NFL'er Pat Dimarco made a diving, 18-yard TD catch with one minute left in the game.

Boone was a very good team this year!!!

They were. Especially on offense. This team reminded me of the 2006-2008 teams that had many epic battles with Dr. Phillips. When the Darters had easy games the same night, I actually attended some of those games.
