  1. LOL. A blowout is worse than a heartbreaker. At least PF can walk away knowing that they were not outclassed or outmanned. After the shock, they will be fine. It's ALWAYS worse for the team that's blown out. They can never live that down.

  2. embarrassing Hell of a game. Pine forest left a few plays on the field and had a kickoff return called back. They had a chance to win and let it slip away at the end. Proud of the way they went and competed. A lot of folks swore it was a wasted trip and would be a blowout. Congrats to Jesuit.

  3. Great game, props to Jesuit for making game winning stops inside the 5 yard line on two separate possessions (8 plays) with time running out. A score on either of those possessions would have cooked their goose. Prior to those stops, another great play by Jesuit was tracking down another Kickoff return that appeared to be going for a TD and stopping the runner on the 5 yard line. Pine Forest did have playmakers and the ball bounced their way most of the night until the final 4 minutes. Congrats to them on a great performance.

  5. Hell of a game by Pine Forest! Even with a lost they made the city proud! I'm letting all of y'all know if these kids in Pensacola ever click up at one school with the right coach, they coming for whoever come out the south.

  6. It was good to see team champions from Jacksonville, Madison, Venice, Tampa, Ft Laud, Hollywood, & Miami. Crib boy said everything runs through Miami-Dade but actually they were in 7 classifications & were eliminated in all but 1 class. Jesuit beat down the 305 & beat 954. Hillsborough had 3 terrific teams in the finals! Pine Forrest went under the radar & out played Jesuit, but didn’t outscore them. Venice made Apopka look outmanned with their strictly run offense. Gibbons & Cocoa was a tremendous game. Chaminade ended the season as good as any team in the State. Aquinas smothered TBT early. Rockets, Dade’s only champion were exceptional! Whata great season....it simply goes by too fast.

  8. Jesse, I think that you should take Dan's advice and show some maturity. Pine Forest has NOTHING to be ashamed of, and anybody who doesn't realize that should find another sport to follow.

  13. QB continues to carry the load on these option keepers. He ran 5 straight plays before a RB got a carry and then QB run for the TD. Big props to the PF OL as they are opening up lanes for him.

  14. Pine Forest QB, Wilson is singlehandedly making all the plays running and throwing. His receivers have dropped 3 or 4 passes in the first half that could have kept drives alive. He is definitely a load and only a Junior.

  21. They did call back a kickoff return for TD by Pine Forest on a questionable holding penalty, but luckily it didn't cost them as they were able to regroup and drive the length of the field with time running out and score to take the lead after a 2 point conversion.

  22. What gets me is that while I RESPECT the rockets & their current success but to say they’re the king of Florida & the representative of Florida as a whole when they didn’t even win their first state title until 2010. so pretty much it took creating all star team after all star team to become a national force.. (GOT IT) & even then more times then not they were embarrassed nationally. but as long as they recruit & get 20+ transfers & bully your way to a state title almost every year while verbally belittling any other team good, great or bad I guess is what rocket football is all about.

  23. Damn Jullian! You beat me to the punch. Miami-Dade compiled an overall 16-10 post season record excluding the times when they played themselves, LOL. To build off your post, below is road that each champion and runner-up took to make it to the finals and the counties they had to defeat to get there. 8A Venice - Champion Plant City Hillsborough Riverview (Sarasota) Sarasota West Orange Orange Columbus (Miami) Miami-Dade Apopka Orange Apopka - Runner Up Creekside St. Johns Bartram Trail (St. Johns) St. Johns Seminole Seminole Treasure Coast (Port St. Lucie) St. Lucie 7A STA - Champion Atlantic (Delray Beach) Palm Beach Miramar Broward Homestead Miami-Dade Buchholz (Gainesville) Alachua Tampa Bay Tech Hillsborough Tampa Bay Tech - Runner Up Largo Pinellas Palmetto Manatee Wharton (Tampa) Hillsborough Lake Gibson (Lakeland) Polk 6A Jesuit - Champion Boca Ciega (Gulfport) Pinellas Braden River (Bradenton) Manatee Hillsborough (Tampa) Hillsborough Northwestern Miami-Dade Pine Forest (Pensacola) Escambia Pine Forest - Runner Up Rickards (Tallahassee) Leon Riverside Duval Mosley (Lynn Haven) Bay Jones (Orlando) Orange 5A Miami Central - Champion North Miami Beach Miami-Dade American Heritage (Plantation) Broward Killian Miami-Dade Baker County (Glen St. Mary) Baker Merrit Island Brevard Merrit Island - Runner Up Leesburg Lake Rockledge Brevard Satellite Brevard Sebring Highlands 4A Cardinal Gibbons - Champion Pine Crest (Ft. 24. Jesse do you even watch football or do you just look at the names that hold weight from past success and just look up their past schedules from the past 20 seasons and pick the one year they had their greatest success or played teams that also have names that hold weight

  25. How does Madison get a pass when they don't play in their rightful classification. Hell they could atleast play down in 3A or even 2A. You claim to be all about Madison but when they were losing last week you were coming with all the excuses and blaming coaches. But now all of a sudden they're the best this state has to offer lmao humble yourself cause you've already admitted you're not even a true Madison fan and hate on your actual school. Have Madison line up against Chaminade, Gibbons, Pine Forest, Jones, Apopka, Venice, Cocoa, Merritt Island, Niceville, West Orange, BTW, Gulliver Prep and etc.

  28. Temerity is the right word. Exactly what I was thinking at the time. No way I give my sophomore QB the ball after already throwing 4 interceptions. Apparently the coach has a lot more faith in that kid than I had at that point in the game. The guy doing color commentary for Spectrum seemed to think Jesuit was going to run down the clock and kick a field goal to win it...which made sense...but is always risky in high school football...but letting that kid throw the ball was even riskier! Geez. Glad I wasn't really rooting for Jesuit or I probably would have had a stroke. Lol.

  29. Can anyone believe how difficult it is to do what Jesuit did stopping Pine Forest for 4 downs inside their own 5 yard line twice within the last few minutes of the game. What kind of a tough and disciplined defense is that? And then to have the temerity to score via a passing play to win the game after 4 interceptions against you during the game. Wow.

  31. Little Sally was lost in the woods. Pine Forest lost in final few minutes of the game. This loss makes the trip home even worse. Jesse never has a loss for words when interjecting Madison into a conversation.

  32. That's to be expected and I expect them to. In the eyes of time, although PF lost, no one can ever look back on tonight and say that PF got their asses kicked. That's something to be proud of considering they were considered by most to be the underdog.

  45. PF top rusher (#4) is might be out for the game. I've been told by a few people he got injured against Jones and is in a walking boot. Another running back (#22) has a knee brace on so not sure how effective he'll be.

  47. Sounds like Dillard is building quite a squad for next season. Gotta play some tougher comp outside of the district though. Cardinal Gibbons, Miami Central, Northwestern, and maybe a trip to Venice is in order too..?

  48. They have Edgewater 2109 talent!!! Do you have a time machine Darter?

  49. I'm going to go with Pine Forest, primarily because I know little about them and figure they may be better than any of us realize. But I don't give them much of a chance. TBT's win over Lake Gibson was diminished some when I realized after the fact that LG played without Jevonte McClendon. He was a key part of their secondary, and could have made the difference in stopping the QB runs for TBT. LG also was without McClendon vs. Lowndes, which was the only other game LG got run on consistently. They had McClendon for both Lakeland games and Edgewater. IMO, the best Tech can do is what Edgewater did the last couple of years: lose but be competitive in the process. Merrit Island is terribly outmanned and has no business being on the field with Central.
