but I played ball with Ely DB coach and I saw em out at the club last night & we talked I congratulated him, told him it’s good for broward public schools to be getting back on the map especially against the private schools.

Then we got into a big Fu*k Dillard , Fu*K ely verbal squabble , hyped up soul bowl even more this year @ Dillard ;  then we laughed took a few shots  & that was it lol.

Ely has been showing signs of returning to their former selves the past two years.

I am glad for them. I know they are your rival, so I don't expect joy on your part.

I hear that chaminade starting quarter back was hurt and ruled out the game in the first Quarter on their second offensive possession.

Even with that, though, you have to admit it was a great win for Ely. Like I said, I am glad their program's been turning around. It should also motivate Dillard to up their game so you don't end up losing three in a row or something like that in the Soul Bowl if Ely be firing on all cylinders and Dillard be somewhere in the middle which is what they have been recently.

They'd been rotating a couple of sophomores. I don't think either was clearly as established as "the one".

Yeah but if  your Central, Lakeland, St. Thomas, American Heritage, IMG Academy naming a few powerhouses a win would be expected. I'm not taking anything away from Blache Ely but I can bet you that nobody picked Blanche Ely to win.

It simply happens to be the case that Chaminade is noticeably down from last year. This should come as no surprise given all that they lost from the last three seasons. But, despite being proven wrong every single year, fans and prognosticators always rate teams and set expectations as if the next season's team will be a facsimile of the last team they saw. People are genuinely persuaded when a teenager takes to Twitter and announces he is transferring schools. Chaminade got plenty of those, and so idiots think it means they'll have the same team.
