24-14. Seminole Ridge at the half. Pahokee is killing themselves this first half. Fumbles, dropped ints that lead to touchdowns, and punts that hit the lineman. Ridge has started 3 drives in the red zone and scored 17 points off them

I have never seen a Pahokee team with a bad secondary. This team can't cover receivers down field.

Congrats on another solid win for Pahokee versus a very solid Seminole Ridge team.

The secondary is still an issue (which was expected coming into the season), because of your and inexperience (of the 6 dB's, only 1 played varsity last year). The other DB, the coaches won't play him on defense because he's the QB (the backup got hurt and is out). 

To the coaches credit, they give all the kids an opportunity to prove themselves every game. Its just inconsistency from game to game (series to series). The DB coaches are PK grads and played (started) d1 football (Pitt & NC State). 

The play-side slant, and backside drag routes have given them hell these last 2 games (Gardens and Seminole Ridge).

Thanks for explaining this. I noticed it during the PB Gardens game, and it was evident last night also. But Pahokee's D Line pass rush is so good that, they can almost get away with it. Still a solid win against a good 8A-Seminole Ridge football team.
