This will be the thread of bowl games and the results. Right now the first one released is...

Hallandale and Taravella play in the Broward County Bowl tonight. 

Taravella went 7-3 and Hallandale is 5-5

This must be a mistake, nolebull.  I thought for sure South Plantation 0-10 would be playing.

I wouldn't be surprised if one day the FHSAA said any team who misses the playoffs can play. 

Two teams with 0-10 record playing in the "Toilet Bowl"

if I was a winless team I would call the FHSAA up and say "hey you let an 0-9 team in the playoffs, the least you can do is let us play in a measly bowl game"

So how do the bowl games work I didn’t even kno we did them and how are the teams selected ?

any team with a .500 record or better that doesn't make the playoffs can play in a bowl game.  there are some bowl games that are set up every year.  Winter Park rotary bowl comes to mind.  Most team just call around and set it up with other teams that don't make the playoffs.

Probably better Liberty didn’t make the playoffs.  They would have got smashed by  Lakeland. Instead they win a bowl and end up 9-2.  Great year for Liberty

You must have a garbage ass schedule to go 8-2 and miss the playoffs. 

I would have loved to see them get smashed against Lakeland just to prove a point

They are a solid team there 7 team district is just very very weak!

But yes they would have gotten destroyed by Lakeland.

I can't play in a Bowl Games......I can go 4-6 and not play in a bowl game.

Pointed this out in another thread.  Teams in larger, "weak" districts are at a distinct disadvantage because they are forced to play a certain number of "weak" teams, which then necessitates them scheduling a potentially challenging non-district schedule.  Add on top of that certain county scheduling restrictions, and there is an inherent handicap.  In that sense, it is not truly a level playing field for some when it comes to making the playoffs.
