@LAZL @LAZ

Is the LazIndex website updated? I see some discrepancies from Maxpreps. For example is says Surge Academy is 0-3 on Laz, but 0-4 on Maxpreps. The extra game on max has Surge playing Goleman in December. So I check Goleman on laz and it says they are 6-0 but max has them 8-0.

also I noticed games against JV opponents aren’t factored in like for Sumner High.

any info would be appreciated

I’m trying to get an accurate count for each team for 2020. It’s been tough because of all the changes and cancellations. I want to update my research history. It seems like every site has something different. Max, Laz, Scorestream. All different info

Scorestream should be completely updated for all teams outside of South Florida.

Broward and PB publics (don't recall what the situation was with Miami publics) didn't really get tracked as close as the rest of the state since the schedules were a complete mess. (I'm actually half surprised you didn't hear of two schools showing up to a site both expecting to play the host school.)

Not really funny, but I had to laugh.

LOL to clarify guys, did not mean to say that that situation actually happened. Was attempting to say it's a miracle it did not happen with all the schedule shifting that occurred this season, particularly in South Florida where in some cases schedules seemed to be decided early in the week only a matter of days ahead of the Friday night lights.

That’s why I’m trying to see if Laz updated his info. This is 2021 for Christ’s sake. There has got to be a site that has all the results for the football games

Laz doesn't include out of state

There’s a site for that. We stunk it up this year again too. Too many teams sign up for butt drillings. No one likes to play even Comp. always mismatch games

So sorry but I haven't logged on in a while as I had to attend to some personal issues. The South Florida score reporting was a complete disaster this year. I'd like to blame it all on Covid but even it can't shoulder the entire blame. As usual it appears nobody is "responsible" for score reporting and score reporting accuracy. This is ridiculous. Like the rest of you I scour the internet each and every weekend to get scores. ScoreStream, MaxPreps, On line newspapers, etc.

On average there are 10-15 games per week that simply cannot be found anywhere. In the past, when schools provided the FHSAA with results, it would take maybe 4-5 days at the most for them to get the "stragglers" posted. It was still a pain in the a$$ but I could work with it. I had to.

Now we have this MP site that has been given responsibility for maintaining everything and it simply doesn't get the job done. I'm absolutely positive MP is not entirely to blame but scores can trickle in for several weeks after games are played. This is unacceptable. As Nolesbull said It's 2021! There is only one way to solve it and it must be maintained by the governing body.

Force schools to report the scores. Failure to do so results in a forfeit. End of story.

Now, as a result of Nolesbull's post, I went back through MaxPreps and found several results that must have been entered way after the games were played. I must assume these are accurate and will update my records accordingly.

All of these are from south Florida:

Booker T Washington 32, Miami Norland 7
Coral Reef 35, Miami Beach 0
Goleman 12, Surge Academy 0
Goleman 35, Miami Springs 0
Hallandale 8, Piper 0
John I Leonard 10, Village Academy 0
Jupiter 34, Park Vista 0
Miami Jackson 12, Southwest Miami 10
Miami Springs 50, Miami Beach 0
North Miami Beach 39, Miami Jackson 0
Northeast (Oakland Park) 38, Pompano Beach 7
Palm Beach Central 46, Taravella 0
Pembroke Pines Charter 45, Taravella 6
Pine Crest 21, LaSalle 0
Somerset Silver Palms 42, Everglades Prep 0
South Broward 12, Cooper City 0
South Dade 16, Southwest Miami 6

Also, here is another which I found and laughed at but believe it or not, MP actually has it posted just like this:

Coconut Creek 40, Pembroke Pines Charter 0 (OT)

FOUND ANOTHER ONE-

ScoreStream had the Coral Gables vs. South Dade score reversed.

Actual Final was South Dade 14, Coral Gables 3

I watched the highlight video to verify.

Here's a rare case where MaxPreps had it correct.

Unacceptable.

    • Bayside went up to play Lowndes and lost 50-0 and 69-0 in back to back years for $25,000 total. I think that’s why so many garbage FL teams play good GA teams.
    • And did he “beg”? Or did he simply ask one sentence and see if anyone can help with fundraising? Every single team we have been apart of from 4 years old to high school has fund raised. I don’t remember begging anyone for money. But I guess I’m not a millionaire who coaches a transfer factory. Lol.
    • ALL programs in the state of Florida would love to have more money, and really need more. Teddy happens to have enough name recognition and reach- including wealthy current and former NFL players- that he may well succeed in getting money. Whether he succeeds or not, he's calling attention to the problem. (Of course, if the number of schools investing in football programs was sharply reduced, and all of the money which has been spread thin among poor programs was consolidated towards a smaller number of super programs, those super programs would be financed much more effectively.)
    • Could be for kids out of the zone who attend the school who are in a family situation that makes it extremely difficulty to attend practices, school, games etc all the time. Could be a single parent who works 2 jobs who has a kid transfer to MNW in hopes that the exposure could earn him a scholarship. We have no idea unless it’s explained. Ubers are expensive as hell. More than taxis used to be. My son’s school is 8 miles from our house. He needed a ride one day for football practice so we looked up Uber and they wanted $40!!
    • I don't know why this state is so far behind every other state football powers regarding coaching salaries and financial support?  More evidence is Teddy having to use $14k of his own money last year.  On a side note, isn't paying for uber rides an impermissible benefit?  I mean if you didn't recruit kids out of your area, they wouldn't need those rides anyway Teddy...  but I digress.  https://www.the-sun.com/sport/14663753/teddy-bridgewater-miami-northwestern-donations/#:~:text=The free agent quarterback Bridgewater,team%2C the Miami Northwestern Bulls.&text=Bridgewater made a long plea,by the school through donations.
