Hey I got a question about rules what about that fake QB slide done by Pittsburgh (college) in order for him to get a touchdown the defender though he was going to slide and didn't hit him to avoid a flag thoughts?....

As I understand it, there are currently no rules in place that cover this, but at least at the college and pro level, folks are suggesting that there should be a rule.

Alot of people was mad some consider it a dirty play by the QB

I will agree with Clark... it will suck for the defense when the QB's start that fake slide stuff.

Apparently, the NCAA issued a rules interpretation that does away with the fake slide.   In short, once a player begins the process of sliding, the ball is dead and the refs are supposed to blow the whistle.  No penalty, just a dead ball where the process of sliding first started.  Oh, and it's non-reviewable. 

I'm impressed that they responded so quickly.
