Both teams crack top 10 at #6 & #8 respectively in preseason USA today national poll

USA today is down to their final 5 preseason teams. Who do you think will get those spots? My guess in no particular order: STA, BG, IMG, Greyson Ga., Miami Central. The final 5 teams won't be released until tomorrow night starting at 10 pm EST. Here the link:

Yes I just posted a similar story. Surprised to see BTW that high. But USA today is known for their shocking rankings.

Yes they will. Two top 6 teams to began. Can you imagine them winning both those games, then potential top 5 game vs MC? Wow!

The other day I was sitting here thinking about what if Booker T. Washington beats American Heritage, St. Thomas, Central and Columbus I mean that's impressive. Adding on not one game on the schedule is OOS. So yeah.... if they run the table then having them at number 8 won't seem so bad.

Regardless who wins the AHP/BTW game it is a Preseason game.  AHP beating IMG last year did not help AHP nor hurt IMG....Just saying.

Yes.  Even if AHP destroyed them, if BTW won the rest of their games they could very likely be national champs.

actually the IMG national ranking took a big hit last year, they started in top 5 but after losing to AHP they dropped down to 19th in USA today poll

James is absolutely correct. Although it's considered a preseason game and doesn't count on the W-L record it has been confirmed by multiple media outlets that you are evaluated every time you take the field.

The USA Today Poll  ....That is one poll.That is the same poll that had a team from Westwood, MA at #24 in their final poll and a team from Greenwood, IN at #17 - ahead of Miami Central in their final poll.      I'll just leave it at that.

Yes that was the case and we both know Greenwood, IN wouldn't last 1 qtr with Central, but it is what it is. No two polls will ever be the same and you're not going to please everyone.
