Nick Miner, two way player and East River's starting QB, lost his life when the vehicle he was driving was hit by another on an unlit East Orange County road. 

My deepest condolences to his: family, teammates and friends. 

Sudden loss of life is always tragic. It is especially so when it involves a teenager.

I have never lost a child to an untimely death. I can only imagine what his family must be going through. It is one thing to lose someone who has been ailing for a long time; for that gives one time to prepare mentally for the possibility. But to see a robust 18 year old die like this is something that is very difficult to deal with.

I know East river is trying to make that happen. They reached out to us. We have already made a commitment for a bowl game and couldnt help. But i am sure someone will.
