This game is putting to potential district champs up together.

Main theme for this game.

Vero o vs Sebastian D.

Sebastian River has only allowed 20 points this year and im hearing that the defense is one of the most physical in the state.

On the other hand, Vero is scoring 35 plus points in all their games except against Palm Beach Lakes (who is looking like they are makin playoffs soon).

I am looking forward to this game because it maybe Vero's only tough challenge on the regular season schedule.

I can tell you this much, I've been on KP's staff at DeLand and he will have those boys ready to go, focused on the prize and flying to the ball on defense!! Keep sleeping on Sebastian River, they are gonna shock some teams this year!! Good luck Sharks!!

From reading the other board (FlaVarsity) it appears KP has built a "D" like the one at Deland. That '09 team looked a lot like Mainland West, only wearing Green. The movers and shakers of that little ole boy town weren't to pleased with that much diversity and the Bulldogs have never recovered. See: Deltona,Orange City,Trinity, and now Sebastian River.....Mainland coming at you, no playplay here.

Smh lol leave it alone lmfao

Let me hear your take on the game Broward

Before we get to that game I want to see how Vero Beach does versus Fort Pierce Central next week.  That will be a good measuring stick for Vero Beach.  Sebastian River has looked impressive, particularly defensively but I am waiting to see how they respond when someone hits them back.  If I am not mistaken they have never trailed the entire season.  It looks like an average Jensen Beach team  gave them a fight in a 0-7 loss a couple weeks ago.  But any way your cut it there is no denying the Sebastian River defense.

pretty soon Columbia fan will have Sebastian River in his march madness but today he doesn't even know what class they are in. I got SR over Vero this year. SR should have beat them last year.

That offense is suspect and i wish i can see em play PSL this week but my mom don't really want to go up there.

    • This is probably going to impact several different schools. Sumner will probably lose several key players to transfer. This means some schools are going to be getting unforeseen boosts as well. You'd assume that the schools in that immediate area might benefit. But, in this day and age, some players could end up far away. Tampa Robinson lost their head coach to USC, and their top recruit transferred...to Chaminade in Broward County.
    • As reported by Josh on this site, Sumner's head football coach, Alonzo Ashwood, was dismissed.  No reason for the dismissal was given, but it certainly wouldn't have been based on the team's on-the-field performance.   I've got a hunch the coach crossed one of those pesky rule lines, perhaps one too many times, and left the principal with little choice.   Again, just speculation on my part.   It'll be interesting to see what repercussions this has for the Stingrays.   Here's a link to Josh's article: http://floridahsfootball.com/2024/05/20/alonzo-ashwood-dismissed-at-sumner-after-four-seasons-per-report/
    • Vero’s offense struggled the entire game, the lone score came on a scoop and score via a fumble. White showed the characteristics of a presumed first year starter. His ability is there no doubt, he’ll just need to settle into the starting role.    West Boca was much more effective- leaning on their 4* running back Javian Mallory, can see them having another good year. They would have probably won the game had it gone a little longer.
    • If all the talk from the head coach about Dillard being bigger and better this year and how last year in his first year was a trial and error for him, it better be an easy dub. Lol
    • As For my Dillard panthers , this will be a huge test for us before things crank up for real in the next few months.    right now Dillard will be coming in this game with a lot of questions. Whose gonna be the Starting QB after a lot of controversy in last year playoff lost to ely where the fans and some of the players felt the sophomore back up should have replaced the junior starter after constantly turning the ball over.    the panthers also will be debuting a new OC & a new DC for the 2024 season. Last year while the defense was average to above average. Our offense appeared to be very basic & vanilla with No real offensive schemes to get the playmakers open.    we’ve gotten a few transfers in & promoted a few great players from JV to varsity. & with this being year 2 of Dillards new head coach & being placed in a new district I’m interested to see the adjustments & progressions in this season vs last season.    this has the make to be a very good game if the weather permits for all 4 quarters, but until proven otherwise I’m going to take the knights in this game in a final score of    DILLARD 21 MONARCH 28 what do you guys think of this matchup @nolebull813 @FBGUY1989 @cribboy305
