Week 8 Pick ems

I didn’t lock the thread because really no games were played yet. Hopefully Monday-Wednesday

So if the game is played by this Wednesday it will count. 
 

I will be putting out the week 9 pick ems tonight or tomorrow. And will update the results for week 8 this Wednesday/Thursday.

So there is 3 ways I can think of to do the playoffs. Maybe the regular season winner can choose. Here are the 3 

 

1. March Madness style where you pick every game before the playoffs start all the way to the champions and you get a certain amount of points per round. 
 

2. seed 16 posters with 1v16, 2v15 etc and half the posters get eliminated every week and the tiebreaker goes to the higher seed 

 

3. Go week to week with a selected amount of games each week and the poster with the highest amount of wins at the end wins. Kinda like the regular season.

Agree. No number 2.

Maybe go to a point system in the playoffs? The higher the round the more points awarded per correct pick. ie: 5 points per correct pick first round. 10 points per correct pick second round, etc…….

I like this idea. And we can even take the regular season points into the playoffs to make the regular season mean more. Or mean anything at all actually. Lol.

I make a motion that all the games this past weekend be stricken from our records! The stress of the hurricane left me perplexed & impaired in all directions of thinking & decision making…….I have 3 solid witnesses: my wife, my pastor, & my cat.

Ouch.  That sounds like me the week before last before last week started bleeding onto this week and beyond.  This is crazy.

If I keep picking the way I have been the last couple of weeks, it won't matter to me.

Looks like Dunbar vs Port Charlotte and Jones vs Lake Wales was played  this past week after it was postponed so it went past the deadline as a week 8 game and was never added to the week 9 list so it doesn’t count.
