Higher seed is the home team in the regional bracket.

Team with highest point average for the regular season will be the home team in the state semifinals between the two teams.

For the state championship game, the team with the highest point average from the regular season will be the designated home team.

Miami Central at Palm Bay Heritage

Miami Carol City at Dillard
Miami Norland at Mainland

With district winners receiving automatic seeds 1-4, this bracket (IMO) may be the fairest ever. A 4th place member of a super powerful district (16) can go to the championship game. Never in FHSAA's history has this occured. The new playoff format worked in 6A-4.

Aye if anybody can stop this from being a sweep Dillard can we beat Carol city before (2013) as 28 point underdogs and we can do it again ...welcome to the playoffs everybody.!! Win or go home

I'm with you Panther. You beat CC and we beat Norland, I'll buy wings before the game in Daytona. Just don't mortgage the house on that scenario coming to fruition. A falling comet may destroy Florida before that dream comes true....

I'm pulling for you all but you all in for a fight of your life 

 

I wouldn't put it past mainland pulling upset over Norland but either way both in for a fight but i give them a much better shot then the other 2 matchups

Probably but this is not 2013 Carol City which y’all only had to stop 1 player in Trayvon Gray.. Even tho I got Carol City winning but it’s gonna be a close game.. I’m worried if y’all offense can scored against CC defense.. Oh yea btw Naquan Wright is back...

Yeah they defense is legit Very Legit But between facing Deerfield’s defense then Gibbons Defense i believe we should b up for the challenge good thing is our defense isn’t to shabby either so Carol city will have to earn everydown and every point

Would u say this year cc team is more vulnerable this year then last year ?? && if u see a weak spot in the team what would it be ?

      Consequently, Lake Minneola has just announced it has cancelled spring football.  What goes around comes around.

      And lastly with the district classifications changing. Dillard new district foes atleast for the next two years are as following    *Northeast *Suncoast  *Boynton Beach  *Dr.Joaquin Garcia    never heard of that last school, I’m assuming they’re a new program.    but a district with no STA, GIBBONS, AHP, CHAMINADE, ELY, MIRAMAR, & ETC lets see if Dillard is still a above avg program & can run away with this district and be one of the top teams in broward.    or if they fell off even more from last year & this district will be a lot closer then most predict. Guess we will see.

      They also just won the 7on7 broward county showcase a few weeks back. So hopefully that spills over to the fall season.    I know we got a new DC & OC this year & the quarter back spot is up for grabs. Especially after last years below avg offensive production. So we will see how things are shaping up against a very solid monarch squad in the spring game May 23rd @ Dillard.

      They bring almost 80% of the roster which was 9th & 10th graders. They got a few transfers in but nothing crazy. Atleast not yet.    from my sources it looks as if the the second year head coach for Dillard is trying to rack up some wins under his belt & not scheduling above the talent he actually has which will either A. Get him fired after this season or see more kids transfer out or both.    if Dillard can go 8-2 or dare I say undefeated & have a deep playoff round (regional finals) that could One really put the program in a bright light for transfers & also instill a winning culture back in the storied program.

      They were a Lake County all star team because they were taking all of the Lake County players.  First Academy hired the Lake Minneola recruiter and he took a bunch of the players with him to First Academy.  Now Lake Minneola has a depleted roster with a tough schedule.  The coach wasn't aware of this until he arrived and saw the roster.
