I'll have a few thoughts and notes to share on the rankings but I'll wait to let the board digest some of it first before adding some of my thoughts on the placement and interesting facts

I don't speak for anyone else but myself but go ahead and post.  That's my vote!

First thought:  Madison is not in the Top 50.

Second thought:  we may need someone to do another well check on Jesse.

Third thought:  Soon-to-be-State-Champs Dillard is not in the Top 10.

Fourth thought:  we may need someone to do a well check on This_is_Dillard.

Some observations:

Nease, Benjamin and Tampa Wharton all make their first ever preseason appearance in one of my rankings

Homestead and Dillard are in it's highest ever starting position in a preseason ranking that I've done

For the second straight year, Central Florida edged South Florida in top 50 teams

First time that AHP or MNW won't be starting in the top 10 (I've had years where one did but not the other but it's first time neither start in top 10)

In the regional rankings, Middleburg will be in it's highest ever starting position

19/25 teams who were in the top 25 preseason position last season return to it this season

(I'll add more but those are a few early nuggets)

Jesse is posting so he's not on house arrest or anything.  Before, it was "who's that peaking in my window, POW".

I think the posts are semi restricted, I would let Josh know but honestly Jesse going thread to thread and bringing it back to Madison gets annoying quickly

A repeat of an observation I made earlier, but it bears repeating in light of the rankings:

Three of the teams ranked in the Top 10 in the state for class 3M (TBT, Wharton and Armwood) are all in the same 4-team district.

I also have all 3 making the playoffs

There were several very good districts that I had 3 or even 4 teams projected as playoff teams

Question is does that mean the district is that loaded or is the region that bad?

My observation if Columbia is anywhere close to being accurate with these teams, outside our required district games the Osceola schedule if you include our spring game and KOC is packed with EIGHT teams he has listed as top 50 overall.  I felt early on that the strength of schedule matched anybody's.   As always, time will tell.

Dillard has the #1,#2 and #4 teams on their schedule

Also have #45 on the schedule

That we do, so we got plenty opportunity to prove ourselves, also we have our first OOS opponent in week 1 who have been doing some heavy recruiting up their way so I’ve heard.

so aye 1 game at a time & we will see where we’re at at the end of the season. I know one thing we have quite a few sell outs on the schedule lol.

    • When you right you right fam. At the end of the day. Anybody in dade, broward or palm beach know bout Dillard and know we don’t duck no team home or away. We down to line up any day.    but none of that puts points on the score board or guarantee victory. You can be ready and confident all you want, but if your team doesn’t have the personnel to match a national power house who gets in loads of transfers year and year out, 9/10 that score is going to be fairly lopsided.    and as much as I bleed Dillard day and night, and as much as it pains me to say. Dillard is not in Miami central, norland, sta, or chaminades league going into the this upcoming season. Let them beat up on each other.    I believe this is a perfect schedule for Dillard if they’re atleast still an above avg program they should win this district with ease and have no more then 2 loses this year.    if not and they struggle even with this schedule then Dillard as a program is most def going backwards and I would hate that for my Alma mater.
    • I agree with you on everything you said. Why play these powerhouses and get the butt kicked out of you. Yes you're not running away from good opponents, however what does a 63-0 loss due to the morale of a bunch of young men.
    • Welcome to the new wonderful wild west of high school football in Florida. We need to create a new position at each school. Recruiting coordinator. Because that is the only way to win big in this state now at the highest levels. The haves can turn into have not by losing one cheater coach.
    • There are zero coaches on campus, every single coach left
    • There is 1,750 kids in the school. That would be their fault if they can’t field a team of 40-50 players. I know it sucks about the mass exodus. I get it. But even though they won’t be competitive for the time being they should at least have enough varsity players returning, JV kids, and newcomers to field a team.    They should have had an assist at coach resume spring workouts, and maybe got in on a jamboree with lesser teams or held an inter squad scrimmage. But to cancel everything seems a bit erratic
