We 3 weeks away till first Friday of high school football in Florida 

 

What are some of the top kickoff classic games you all looking forward to

Apopka vs Mainland should be one of the more interesting KOCs in the state. Look forward to having a couple beers with my man, Dan from Mainland. Loser picks up the tab!

Vero Beach vs Viera may not be in the country for this game

I was just watching the highlights of the DFB & south ridge game & i was almost in tears bra not at the outcome 

 

But at southridge players the emotion & heart they showed even after mistakes they gave they all the very next play those sacks on DFB quarter back each 1 was something nasty 

 

You can tell southridge really wanted it u can see it on their face ...thats what FOOTBALL IS ALL ABOUT if dillard can show that sane heart & grit in every game this year regardless the outcome im okay

You think you living in a fairy tale... Fool your in a big city with a lot to do.. Dillard is not a main attraction so a Friday night game come it's between a Dillard game or going out somewhere else? 70/30 the ppl are going somewhere else..

I never said it was all I said was if Dillard showed the same amount grit and emotion southridge did in that game vs Dfb every game I will be happy regardless the outcome just give a hundred percent every down every play so how do that revert to u sighing and me thinking I live in a fairytale thinking it's all about Dillard when all I'm doing is talking football on a football sight

I don't know if this is considered a "top classic" or not. However, it is one of the better match ups in the North Central area. The reason that it will be interesting is that Trinity Catholic will be a much improved team over the last two years. Kind of edging toward the same type of team that we had in the 2005 to 2010 era when we defeated teams like TCA, Bolles, South Sumter, Jesuit, Vanguard, Gainesville, Tampa Catholic, Rickards, Eastlake. And gave Palmetto,  Mainland, and IMG  a run for their money. Played 3 championship games with Pahokee when Pahokee was one of the top teams in the state, won 1 with the other two razor close.

 

7A Buchholz @ 3A Trinity Catholic - Friday August 18th

Last year's game was Buchholz 23  Trinity Catholic 21

 

The Celtics this season will have a large and experienced OL averaging 264 across the front. We have a new Jr QB King Redd who seems to be pretty darn accurate, finds his receivers, gets rid of the ball quickly, and stays out of trouble with his quick moves. I expect great things from this Celtic team. Been waiting for it all to come together since the 2014 team.

This one and Columbia vs raines look like best 2 matchups in this area

You better talk to Coach D. That misdirection and power inside/outside running game has been working fine for years. Get some early season reps on the QB kneel down, hitch passes behind the line, and punting practice. Do that Darter and I'll buy. If not one of us might be a little irritable at the conclusion and drown his sorrows in several adult beverages.

What Fort White have coming into this year 

Me to would of loved to see us vs Columbia last year as well.

 

Loosing 16 seniors off a 25 man roster hurts but we have entire O line coming back and both RB's along with Dline but we lost QB WR's and DB's so we will be young think we have maybe 9 seniors this year.

No offense but we win that game despite what a lot of Fort White players who keep talking about us on twitter think
