DP has always committed lots of penalties.  It is a product of how they play.  They do need to cut back for sure.

McCray and Patti is a good comparison.  I have seen him back to back weeks and although his arm isn't super strong but good enough he seems to make great decisions on where to get the ball.  He also can hurt you with his legs which gives them an added dimension.  My main concern for DP is lack of that super play maker on offense.  They don't have that guy yet.

Agree. DP lacks a play maker on offense at this point in the season.

Devodney Alford looked good tonight as well as McCary but i know what you are saying that we are used to having the best athlete on the field but I am not sure that is the case this year. I do think we have a better all around team with receivers that catch better than previous years.   Interesting note about QB's.  Novello at Maitalnd, Kong at BM, Elleyesomi at TFA, and Furry at Lake Highland were all DP Pop Warner kids who were potential DP QB's that left to pursue the dream else where.

DP will be fine... I'll find time this weekend to post my full thoughts. The penalties typically give their opponents around 7 points a game... it was pretty bad in the first half last night.

Both teams are state contenders. In 8A north I think it's going to be Apopka, DP, Osceola, Vero Beach or Orange City. Wekiva is also a dark horse. Right now I see an Apopka-DP final four.

DP's "it" guy will be back for the Mainland game...#1 Tanner Ingle. He makes a huge difference in every game he plays in and may be the best instinctual DP player of all time.
