Best North FL Teams Ever? Union County, Baker & Pine Forest

Only a handful of teams north of Gainesville have ever won 30 or more straight games, including playoffs.  Who are they and in what decade did they play?

Union County - 56 Straight, I believe.

Good job..Union County is one of them...52 straight between 1994-1997

Don't know that they won 30 or more straight, but those Pine Forest teams of 87 and 88 were they best I ever saw from North Florida, saw them twice in 87 and once in 88.........they would have to rank up there with my all-time top 10 in my book.

Very good!  Those great Pine Forest teams won 31 straight between 1987-1989.

Baker had the record at one point for most consecutive wins. 

lost first two games of the season in 83 and one was a district game.  Only one team advanced back then.  Went on to win the district title in a shootout that year and along the way collected 3 state titles and 42 straight wins.  Lost to Walton in 1986.  Walton won the state title in 2A that year.  Walton's head coach was Jeff Webb who later coached Baker to the 1993 state title. 

 

side note: There was a young manager on that team that was part of the staff that stopped Lakeland's 53 game win streak.
