Madison County Athletes Attendance!!!

I have a question about Madison County! Does their student athletes physically attend the school or not? Read a comment on the All State thread that states they do not and are not truly a 1A school.. Are they bending the rules!

They’re using a loophole, so TECHNICALLY they aren’t cheating. It’s like if someone builds a charter school across from Atlantic ( that doesn’t offer sports) and about 500 kids leave Atlantic to attend the charter school. This may drop Atlantic a class (in MC’s case, 3 classes) from 8 to 6A/7A, because those kids don’t count for Atlantic but they can play sports

What 561 is describing is correct, but just to be clear... if one of those 500 plays football/basketball/etc... they do count towards the population, but the vast majority of the kids going to the charter school are not playing a sport, thus still having the same effect of lowering the population purposefully.
