I get what you sayin. BTW vs Ely won’t be an Espn game if the week. But what I will say, whenever you have a 954 vs 305 matchup especially between two black schools it’s always gonna be a money game. County Bragging rights on the line.

I’m surprised that Dade and Broward don’t have a best of 9 series each year. 9 games between the counties. This would have been the matchups from last season IMO

STA vs Miami Central

Chaminade vs MNW

AHP vs Columbus

Western vs Norland

Monarch vs Southridge

Ely vs BTW

West Broward vs Palmetto

Dillard vs South Dade

Miramar vs Homestead

They should have been doing this. It’s almost criminal that they don’t. Instead of a KOC they should have a Broward vs Dade Classics. Top 10 Broward schools vs Top 10 dade schools.

rank them, and the higher ranked school going into the new season would be the host.

and let it be a weekend for bragging rights between counties/ a see how your team is stacked up.

that would be a must see event year in year out. And the win or lost would go against your record, like it do when a Florida team play a OOS opponent in the KOC.

If your talking about bragging rights what about the Dade vs Broward all-star game.

I like this but I just don't know if this would happen though.

That would still be a thing. But that happens after the seasons over.

this would be teams vs teams, more would be on the line. Records, rankings, along wit county bragging rights

Is every 4 and 5 star player in that game? If so it would look like a National all star game.

It is. It’s every star player for the broward on the broward team and the same for dade. Been going on for years.

but iMO That’s different from having the top 9 Broward teams vs the top 9 dade teams in a Broward vs dade classic to start the year, and it goes on your record.

iMO that would be a huge money maker event.

It’s through KSA. I heard about it but didn’t want to post and it not happen and spread fake news. Lol. Is Heritage remotely decent?

They should be ok. I'd say top 4 in Brevard so far but we'll find out in the first 4 to 5 weeks how good the top teams in Brevard really are. The team to watch will be Eau Gallie since they gained an influx of transfers and their schedule is finally challenging

Horrible. Auburn is a top 5-7 team in Bama year in and year out. Booker is not even top 50 in FL. This is a blowout. I hate that these FL teams just sign up for any ass whooping no matter what.

I don't know . . . I seem to recall that Florida teams have done pretty well against Alabama teams -- especially Auburn teams -- this year.   Then, again, I may be confusing high school football with college basketball.   :P

Frequent road warriors, North Miami Beach, were edged by Auburn 49-0 this past season.  The guaranteed money must have been worth the 600+ mile trip and the beat down.

Auburn is ran by punks who will open the checkbook for any average to garbage team. North Miami Beach is horrible. Imagine being a player on a bad team and having to take a back breaking 600 mile bus ride and 600 miles back just to get your skirt lifted by 50. Everyone involved should be fired. The coach for NMB must have some compromising info on the higher ups because his ass should have been canned about 15 years ago.

So your saying Auburn wouldn't schedule schools like Central, Northwestern or St. Thomas

Hell no! But I understand that. A lot of teams wouldn’t schedule those programs. They had plenty money to schedule a horrible team like North Miami Beach. Booker is a little better than them, but they still chose an opponent they know they can be comfortably. I know they have enough money to entice a team in the top 20-50 in FL. Hell even in Georgia where they are right next to there is plenty of quality teams who would play. But they cherry pick inferior teams they know they can beat. It’s a sorry mentality to have and I wouldn’t want men leading my son with that mentality

So, a team schedules an inferior opponent (one that it should be able to beat fairly easily) at the beginning of the season and pays them some amount of money to come play the game and take the loss . . . . Hmmm, sounds like almost every top tier D-1 college football program in the country (and every mid-to-low level team trying to bolster their athletic budget).  :P

The guy sets up some automatic loss hundreds of miles away and the quits. Lol. If I was the admin I would drop the game quick. Tell Auburn this is what you get when you deal with teams outside the state top 60. You should have scheduled a real team to play against. :P

Trouble seems to follow that guy. Go see what they're saying on the other board.

The KSA events lineup has been finalized in Central Florida.

The headliner by far is Cherry Creek Colorado against Sarasota Cardinal Mooney. Cherry Creek is the consensus number one team in the state.

Others include two bad games between Avon, Ohio and Spruce Creek. Also Dakota Ridge Colorado against Winter Springs. Those two are duds, heavily favoring the out-of-state teams.

Finally, you got Woodford County Kentucky against Heritage Palm Bay. And then some tiny school action between Concord, Christian Tennessee, and Palm Beach Christian prep

He didn't appear to have a choice in the resignation.

These young and/or unknown coaches who come into very average or less programs and suddenly schedule these huge opponents should be watched very carefully. In nearly all cases, one of two things is true:

1) the program recently implemented is really good, and the program can be expected to be a major player in the future regardless of their past

2) some goofy, tricky, possibly illegal or fraudulent stuff is going on.

#2 - it's called recruiting

    • Lit! How do you see them doing this year ? Hopefully they have a legit schedule to test them throughout the season
    • Once Bill Galloway moved to Tennessee after the 2003 season, It was a one-man deal with Castle. The assistsants have been a mixed bag, with some quality and much turnover in staff. I do think, despite never fielding teams that would be particularly competitive with the 'Naughts, the rise of the two Christian private schools have cut into Lakeland's program more than may be understood. Many lineman and "locker room" or "glue guys" that the program always had have started playing for Victory or LCS. With them, they took some wealthier, ardent boosters of the program as well. A result is the often weird dynamic of home games where the crowd is pretty large in size, but the resevred spaces around midfield are empty. The folks who would've (and maybe even still do) buy season tickets now send their kids to LCS or Victory, so they are no longer in attendance on Friday nights. This all started in the early 1990s with the opening of George Jenkins High. At the time, there was much controversy around zoning, with many voicing the (perhaps partially racist) concern that LHS would become an "inner city" school. While GJ has never amounted to much in football, the idea itself opened some minds in the very religious city to seek other options. IMO, Victory and LCS should set their egos aside, and agree to field only one team between the two. Invest all the money and time into that one program. And we could see another version of The First Academy, where school staff incessantly claim that Jesus is on their side, that opposition to their program amounts to opposing Jesus etc. There's enough talent in Lakeland to field exactly one nationally elite program.  I think if the privates consolidated, they'd have the best chance at this long-term.
    • In some cases when a really successful program goes through a HC change along with new assistants, it may take a few years before you start seeing things start to chip away.
    • Jesuit is never down.  Not with that talent pipeline in from the youth leagues.
    • I've seen him play in person several times.  He has a cannon.  He definitely would benefit from a good QB coach to work on the decision making though.
